Singer Park Seo-jin has been embroiled in rumors of marriage and allegations of a 'hidden son'.
On the 7th, KBS2's 'Salim Buneun Namjadeul 2' depicted Park Seo-jin taking care of Kim Sang-hyuk's nephew, Seo-jun.
That day, Park Seo-jin visited Kim Sang-hyuk's home. Kim Sang-hyuk explained, "I have become close with (Park Seo-jin), and my mother really likes him. So, we invited him over." In fact, Kim Sang-hyuk's mother expressed affection by saying, "Sit next to me," adding, "It’s hard to meet, so you have to stay close," and stated, "Can’t we take a picture? Please take one for me. I want to show it off, so please take it nicely."
Kim Sang-hyuk said, "I play Seo-jin's song all day long," and his mother referred to him as "Prince Seo-jin," adding that listening to "Chun Mong" reminds her of her youth. In response, Park Seo-jin provided a spontaneous live performance and signed autographs as part of fan service. During this time, his mother mentioned rumors of his relationship with Hong Ji-yoon, saying, "I heard he got married with Hong something. Is it true that he got married?"
In response, Park Seo-jin drew a line, saying, "I am friends with Hong something. I can never get married." Kim Sang-hyuk remarked, "Seo-jin is a lifelong single," to which Park Seo-jin responded, "I’ve never even held anyone's hand," but corrected himself by saying, "But I have held Hong something's hand." However, a clip of Park Seo-jin’s father saying, "You’re like a sibling, dear," brought laughter.
Later, a young child visited Kim Sang-hyuk's house. Park Seo-jin asked, "Is this your brother's son?" to which Kim Sang-hyuk replied, "No, he's my nephew, not my son," explaining that his brother got married in 2016, and they shared their newlywed life in this house since then. The mother then said, "Let the three of you play. I’ll be back soon," and while trying to escape, Park Seo-jin was caught by Kim Sang-hyuk, ultimately ending up taking care of his nephew, Seo-jun.
Park Seo-jin expressed his worries, saying, "I was a bit flustered. I’m afraid of babies. When I saw him, he seemed so fragile. I was worried that if I touched him, he might get hurt. I was thinking that, so I couldn’t hold him," but when Seo-jun took his hand to go outside, he smiled, saying, "I was so happy when he held my hand."
The three of them headed to Han River Park. Seo-jun started looking for his mother, and Park Seo-jin said, "Do you miss your mom? Did I do something wrong? What should I do? A lot of thoughts crossed my mind." He asked, "How should I play with kids?" Kim Sang-hyuk advised, "You should react based on the child's perspective. When playing, you should use a cheerful voice. You can keep that cheerful tone with him too."
However, it wasn't easy to get close to Seo-jun, and Park Seo-jin succeeded in grabbing his attention by buying a bubble gun and a ball. Additionally, they played in the water together, and before long, the two of them seemed to have become quite close. Park Seo-jin felt proud, saying, "I think we got much closer while playing in the water. As I kept listening to him saying, 'Let’s go there, let’s go here,' it seemed like I slowly opened up to him."
Even after the water play, Park Seo-jin took care of Seo-jun by wrapping him in a towel and giving him water, acting just like a dad. Baek Ji-young exclaimed, "Why are you taking care of him so well? You’re totally like a dad!" and ITZY's Yuna noted, "I think you’re really going to be a great dad in the future." Meanwhile, Kim Sang-hyuk, who had slipped away, called to say, "I just got a call from the store. I’m really sorry. Just hold on for a moment. I’ll take Seo-jin to his house. Thank you, I won’t forget this."
Flustered, Park Seo-jin took Seo-jun to his home, and his younger sister Hyo-jung, seeing the unfamiliar child, was surprised and asked, "Did you bring home a baby?" Park Seo-jin clarified, "He’s not my child. He’s Sang-hyuk's child," to which Hyo-jung replied, "Did you have a baby too?" Park Seo-jin corrected her, saying, "He’s my nephew," but Hyo-jung then called their father via video call, showing Seo-jun, and exclaimed, "Dad, Seo-jin hyung has done something amazing. Look!" Their father expressed joy, saying, "Is this a grandson!?" With Hyo-jung joking, "Hyung brought a baby here," their father joyously exclaimed, "Wow!! I have no more wishes left!" Upon seeing this, Baek Ji-young noted, "If there’s a grandchild like that, your dad would be so happy," expressing some regret.
In the meantime, Hyo-jung played with Seo-jun wearing a dinosaur costume and even grilled meat for him. However, while Seo-jun ate well when fed by Park Seo-jin, he tightly closed his mouth when Hyo-jung tried to feed him. Moreover, when Park Seo-jin helped remove his eye crust, Seo-jun remained still, and Hyo-jung suspected, saying, "He’s like a dad!" and asked, "You aren’t just strangers since today, right?" Park Seo-jin responded, "We’re complete strangers. This is the first time I’ve seen him today," but when Hyo-jung asked, "Seo-jun, is uncle your dad?" he nodded, adding more laughter. Hyo-jung remarked, "He’s like a dad. No wonder the names are similar," and said playfully, "Hyung, you’re doing a great job with parenting, so you can get married now."
Meanwhile, Kim Sang-hyuk arrived, and Park Seo-jin shared a bittersweet farewell with Seo-jun. He reflected, "Playing with a child wasn’t easy, but today I realized what parenting is all about. There were tough moments, but it was a time filled with more happiness. Even though Seo-jun isn’t my child, just watching him eat fills me with joy, and seeing him eat well makes me feel even better. This is truly what parenting feels like."
