The organizing company, Gyeongju Cultural Foundation, apologized regarding the cancellation of singer Heize's performance on the day of the event.
On the 8th, Gyeongju Cultural Foundation posted an apology on the official SNS of Gyeongju Arts Center. They apologized for the performance cancellation of Heize just prior to the '2025 MyK FESTA in Gyeongju' held on the 7th at Gyeongju Arts Center.
In this regard, Gyeongju Cultural Foundation first noted, "We express our deep regret that the performance of Heize was inevitably canceled." They continued, "Heize arrived at the local venue the day before the performance and diligently prepared, arriving on site around 4 p.m. on the day of the performance."
However, they explained, "On the day of the performance, due to a malfunction in the sound system of the production company, the scheduled 7 p.m. rehearsal (sound check) could not be conducted, and even after that, both the artist and staff did their best to proceed with the performance, but we determined it was impossible to hold a normal performance due to a serious defect in the sound equipment, which led to the inevitable cancellation of the performance."
Gyeongju Cultural Foundation apologized again, stating, "We deeply apologize to the disappointed audience and artist Heize. Although this performance was scheduled to be a paid event, we will soon proceed with full refunds for all ticket purchasers, considering that the performance could not be conducted normally."
Heize was scheduled to take the stage as the final headliner at the '2025 MyK FESTA in Gyeongju' on the 7th. However, the performance was canceled about an hour before it was set to start. As a result, Heize apologized to fans through her personal SNS on the 8th.

Official statement regarding the performance cancellation
We express our deep regret that Heize's performance, scheduled for June 7, 2025 (Saturday), was inevitably canceled.
Heize arrived at the local venue the day before the performance and,
on the day of the performance, arrived on site around 4 p.m. and diligently prepared.
However, on the day of the performance, due to a malfunction in the sound system of the production company,
the scheduled 7 p.m. rehearsal (sound check) could not be conducted,
and after that, both the artist and staff did their best to proceed with the performance,
but due to a serious defect in the sound equipment, it was determined that a normal performance was impossible, leading to the inevitable cancellation.
We sincerely apologize to the audience who were disappointed and to artist Heize.
Although this performance was scheduled to be a paid event,
considering that the performance could not be conducted normally,
we will proceed with full refunds for all ticket purchasers as quickly as possible,
and we kindly ask for your understanding as additional measures will be individually informed through the ticket sales outlets.
We again express our deep apologies to everyone who was looking forward to the performance,
and we will make every effort to ensure that such incidents do not occur again through more thorough pre-checks and close cooperation with our partners.
