It has already been 12 years since comedian the late Ham Hyo-joo passed away.

Ham Hyo-joo was involved in a traffic accident near Sin-gil-dong in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, around 3 a.m. on June 8, 2013, while returning home. She was hit by a car while crossing the street carelessly after consuming alcohol, and she was transported to a nearby hospital immediately but died due to excessive bleeding.

It is reported that she was hit by an oncoming vehicle that she did not see while crossing the street carelessly to catch a taxi after dining with fellow comedians the day before. Her short life, ending at the age of 29, brought about sadness.

Born in 1984, Ham Hyo-joo graduated from the Department of Theater at Seoul University of the Arts and passed the 15th MBC public recruitment for comedians in 2005, debuting the same year on "Laughter Brings Good Fortune." She continued to spread laughter on various programs such as "Gagya," "Laugh and Laugh Again," and "Fall into Comedy." Additionally, it is known that aside from her work as a comedian, she provided acting guidance to several idol groups from various agencies.

After hearing the news of her passing, colleagues expressed their condolences. An Sun-young said, "She passed away at such a young age. The family's grief must be immense. I offer my condolences to the deceased," while Park Hwi-soon remarked, "She was a comedian who brought laughter to the public. I offer my condolences to the deceased."

Lee Joo-yeon, a former member of After School, reminisced about her connection with the late Ham Hyo-joo, saying, "I was shocked by the sudden news. Please pray for my acting teacher's soul."

At the MBC Entertainment Awards held at the end of that year, Do Dae-woong, who won the best male newcomer award in the comedy section, expressed his condolences: "Thank you to senior Ham Hyo-joo, who always supported us whenever the 19th public recruitment comedians made a mistake."

In addition to them, Lee Guk-joo, Seo Kyung-seok, Jeong Jun-ha, and others also conveyed their heartfelt condolences for the deceased.
