As the enlistment of BTS members approaches in 3 days, the relay of enlistments among K-pop stars continues this year.
BTS began its military service with Jin's enlistment in December 2022. A year later, all members fulfilled their military duties in December 2023, marking the start of the 'military hiatus'.
Last June, Jin was the first to be discharged, and with J-Hope also returning to fans, a green light appears for BTS's full comeback, as RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook are scheduled to be discharged on the 10th and 11th, while Suga will be discharged on the 21st, finally ending BTS's military hiatus.
BTS's agency, Big Hit Music, noted on the 7th through the official fan community Weverse that "RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are completing their military service in the army and are about to be discharged on schedule," and posted a notice related to military discharge.
The agency stated, "The discharge day is a day that many soldiers share. There will be no official events on the discharge day, and the venues are very cramped, raising concerns about safety accidents due to congestion." They urged, "Considering the safety of the artist and fans as the top priority, we earnestly ask you to refrain from visiting the site. Please send warm welcomes and encouragement to RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook in your hearts."
On the 13th, marking BTS's 12th anniversary, an offline event for ‘2025 BTS FESTA’ and the finale concert of J-Hope's first solo world tour 'j-hope Tour ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ FINAL’ is scheduled, drawing interest in whether the members will attend.
On the other hand, there are K-pop stars who have announced their enlistments this year. First, Astro's Cha Eun-woo has passed the army military band and will enter the training camp on July 28. After basic military training, he is expected to fulfill his duty in the army military band.
Cha Eun-woo's side stated, "To prevent safety accidents due to congestion on the day of enlistment, the location and time of Cha Eun-woo's enlistment will be kept private, and there will be no separate events." They added, "We ask for your unconditional support and warm encouragement for Cha Eun-woo, who will faithfully fulfill his defense duties and return in good health."
Additionally, Rowoon from SF9 will enlist on July 21. After completing basic military training, Rowoon will serve as an active duty soldier. Recently, in a solo fan meeting with fans, Rowoon said, "I seem to be a really happy person with all your love and attention. It’s disappointing, but I will return soon. Thank you for being with me until now, and please continue to be with me for the next 10, 20 years."
In addition, in April, Seventeen's Wonwoo began alternative service after entering training camp following Jeonghan, and Hoshi and Woozi are scheduled to enlist in the second half of this year.
