'Tastefully Yours' is gaining popularity as a 'good drama.'

The Genie TV original 'Tastefully Yours' (planning by KT Studio Genie, produced by Shortcake, creator Han Jun-hee, written by Jeong Soo-yun, directed by Park Dan-hee) is showcasing the passionate work and love of youth through Kang Ha-neul (as Han Beom-woo) and Go Minsi (as Mo Yeon-joo) in a simple yet flavorful manner.

As a result, 'Tastefully Yours' is continuing to rise in popularity globally, including in the domestic OTT sector, not just in weekly ratings. It has reached the TOP 10 in 44 countries, including Korea, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam, and has ranked second for three consecutive weeks in the Netflix global TOP 10 for non-English TV shows (as of Jun. 1, 2025). Maintaining a high ranking for three consecutive weeks amid fierce competition with dozens of global new releases is considered a rare record for non-English content and is seen as evidence that the content itself is gaining attention. Against the backdrop of overwhelming interest across borders, we examined the key points regarding how these characters will move toward their conclusion.

The first key point is whether Mo Yeon-joo (played by Go Minsi) can forgive Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul) and restore their relationship. Han Beom-woo approached Mo Yeon-joo with the intent of obtaining the recipe for 'Jeongje,' but he fell deeply for her, who is wholeheartedly devoted to cooking. However, the man who had his recipe taken away ignited a fire at 'Jeongje,' and Jang Young-hye (played by Hong Hwa-yeon) welcomed the judging panel of Diaman with the 'Jeongje' recipe, causing the issues that Han Beom-woo had caused to come back as a boomerang, tightening around his neck.

In the end, as Mo Yeon-joo learns the truth and Han Beom-woo finds no room for excuses, he admits all his mistakes. Above all, as soon as they connect emotionally, Han Beom-woo's wrongdoing is revealed, adding to the heartache. It raises the question of how the romance between Han Beom-woo and Mo Yeon-joo will unfold.

The second point is the unavoidable succession battle between Han Beom-woo and Han Seon-woo (played by Bae Na-ra). Previously, Han Beom-woo expressed his lack of ambition for the successor position to Han Seon-woo, but Han Seon-woo did not easily believe him. As the Moto restaurant, owned by Han Beom-woo, received a Diaman Three-Star rating, Han Seon-woo's distrust grew, culminating in him revealing in front of Mo Yeon-joo that Han Beom-woo was the recipe hunter. Moreover, the pressure from Chairwoman Han (played by Oh Min-ae), their mother and owner of Han Sang, is intense, raising curiosity about the outcome of the conflict between the two brothers.

The growth of characters experiencing joy and sorrow through cooking is the third key point. Han Beom-woo, once a recipe hunter, found sincerity in making and serving food as he met the 'Jeongje' family, while Shin Chun-seung regained confidence by being recognized for his homemade makgeolli. In this way, different characters experience their transformations, and particularly, the changes in unexpected individuals are expected to illustrate how invaluable it is to fully devote oneself to others.

Meanwhile, recent online communities saw individuals claiming to be middle school classmates of Go Minsi posting an article titled 'We are victims of actor Go OO's school violence,' causing the controversy to escalate. The authors alleged that an individual presumed to be Go Minsi committed physical assault, extortion, and verbal abuse against several friends during middle school, specifically detailing cases of mocking disabled students, theft, and leading ostracism. They stated, "We do not seek any apologies or compensation," demanding a permanent halt to the actor's activities to prevent further damage.

Netizens speculated that the individual mentioned in the article, based on the before-name change, past photos, and drinking controversies during school days, was Go Minsi, and the fallout from the controversy grew.

In response, Go Minsi's agency, Mystic Story, stated on May 26, "We are already aware of the school violence claims published in the online community," while firmly denying it after confirming through the actor and others that it was unfounded. The agency emphasized that the allegations were baseless and expressed its intention to protect the actor's reputation through an official stance.
