The side of professional basketball player Heo Woong filed a complaint against the attorney of his former partner for criminal coercion and defamation, but the police dismissed the charges.

Attorney Noh Jong-eon from the law firm Jongjae announced in an official press release on the 5th, "The Seoul Gangnam Police Station made a non-prosecution decision regarding the case in which Heo Woong filed a complaint against me for criminal coercion and defamation last October."

Earlier, Heo Woong was sued for sexual assault by his former partner, Ms. A, and was found not guilty due to insufficient evidence in August of last year. Subsequently, in October of the same year, attorney Noh Jong-eon, who was then the legal representative of Ms. A, submitted a complaint to the Gangnam Police Station for allegedly coercing her to file the suit, along with charges of criminal coercion and defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.

However, in relation to this matter, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station stated that the statements were consistent and that there was insufficient evidence to substantiate the allegations, leading to a disposition of 'no charges.'

In relation to this, attorney Noh Jong-eon noted, "I plan to take civil and criminal actions concerning the false allegations and retaliatory threats against the parties involved, including Heo Woong's attorney."

Additionally, attorney Noh stated, "Even though the facts are clearly revealed, I will take strict legal action against those who spread malicious falsehoods through various communities. I clarify in advance that there is no possibility of settlement or leniency in the future."
