The group Cravity has officially kicked off the activities for its second studio album.
The agency Starship Entertainment announced on the 4th through Cravity's official social media that it has released a concept film for Cravity's second studio album 'Dare to Crave' and that the album will be released on the 23rd. Additionally, it raised further attention by unveiling Cravity's new logo through a stylish logo motion.
The previously revealed concept film begins with the phrase 'Of Things That Come Too Easily.' It features images of falling grape clusters and nature contaminated by trash, as well as abandoned sites like junkyards. Starting with Seongmin, who watches this scene on TV, each Cravity member displays their aspirations by excessively consuming grapes. Notably, the grand and fast-paced music combined with various scene transitions creates a more vivid production.
At the end of the video, the phrase 'Crave Gravity' swells like grape bubbles, merging to form 'CRAVITY,' emphasizing the close relationship this album has with grapes and indicating that the group's name's meaning has changed with the combination of 'CRAVE' and 'GRAVITY' to form 'CRAVITY.'
In the subsequently released logo motion video, the process of the grapes transforming into living beings and then taking the form of the logo adds meaning to Cravity's new logo. Through multiple cell divisions, elements such as eyes, noses, and ears are created, giving the grape a human form, and the phrase 'CRAVITY,' resembling grape stems, appears, showing the process of how Cravity's new logo was created.
The two videos released present a completely different atmosphere from the world view and concept that Cravity has shown so far, heralding a new beginning for Cravity. The repeated appearances of grapes spark curiosity about their meaning, and the transformation from the traditional logo featuring a planet to a new logo that depicts grapes and grape vines has heightened expectations for this comeback.
Since its debut in 2020, Cravity has steadily solidified its position with refreshing live performances and diverse choreography, backed by unique concepts as 'Vocalbility' and 'Performability.' They won the Mnet 'Road to Kingdom: ACE OF ACE' last year and have further grown by depicting the fearless challenges of youth and Cravity's narrative through their single album 'FIND THE ORBIT,' released in December of that year.
'Dare to Crave,' the second studio album, marks a comeback approximately seven months after 'FIND THE ORBIT,' and it is the first full album in over three years since the release of the first studio album part 2 'Liberty: In Our Cosmos' in March 2022, leading to expectations for Cravity to unfold more three-dimensional and rich music and content.
Additionally, as Cravity celebrates its fifth anniversary this year, it is noteworthy to see in what form they will unfold their unique youth narrative and expand their own world view.
Cravity plans to sequentially release teaser content through official social media. Cravity's second studio album 'Dare to Crave' will be released on the 23rd at 6 p.m. through various online music sites.
