Singer Lee Mujin's side stated they would not tolerate the abuse they faced on stage at a local event, prompting the organizers to apologize once again.
On the 5th, the '2025 Cheonan K-Culture Expo' organizers expressed on social media, "We sincerely apologize to Lee Mujin, his fans, and all attendees for the unfortunate events that occurred during the Cheonan K-Culture Expo. We deeply acknowledge that no words can fully heal the wounds we inflicted on Lee Mujin and his fans."
A representative noted, "The organizers of this expo, Cheonan City, have also recognized the seriousness of the situation and formally expressed their apologies. The staff involved also issued an apology. Additionally, Cheonan City conducted a strict warning and internal training for the event management agency, and the agency immediately dismissed the staff from the institutional sector of event management."
Lee Mujin was forcibly interrupted during a rehearsal for the '2025 Cheonan K-Culture Expo' opening ceremony on the 4th by a staff member who said, "Stop it. What are you doing?" The staff shouted, "I will give you time to adjust the sound during the performance. The next team is waiting."
Fans present at the scene captured Lee Mujin's flustered reaction on stage and posted it on social media. As protests from fans continued, the organizers posted an apology on social media stating, "The staff involved sincerely apologized to the artist and those involved, and strong warnings and internal training have been implemented to prevent such situations from reoccurring."
Nevertheless, Lee Mujin's side emphasized, "We are very sorry for the inappropriate words and actions of the staff toward Lee Mujin during the rehearsal on the day of the event" and added, "Considering the gravity of this matter and the protection of our artist, we will take strong measures against the event organizers and the management agency. We will take all necessary actions to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future."
In response, the organizers bowed their heads and stated again, "We sincerely apologize to Lee Mujin, his fans, and all attendees who visited the scene."
