Singer Lee Mujin's team expressed regret regarding the unreasonable treatment he received at a local event stage.
Big Planet Made Entertainment, Lee Mujin's agency, stated on the 5th, "We are very sorry for the inappropriate remarks and rude responses from the on-site staff towards Lee Mujin during the rehearsal process on the day of the event," adding, "We plan to respond strongly to the event organizers and the production company in light of the seriousness of this matter and to protect our artists."
On the 4th, during the rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the '2025 Cheonan K-Culture Expo,' Lee Mujin was forced to stop his performance due to a staff member's impolite remarks, including, "Stop it. What are you doing?" This staff member shouted, "I will give you time for sound checks during the performance. The next team is waiting."
Images of a flustered Lee Mujin on stage were captured by audience members present at the venue and rapidly spread on social media. Despite this, Lee Mujin successfully completed his main performance. Ultimately, as fans’ protests continued, the organizers officially apologized, stating, "The staff involved apologized politely to the artists and their representatives, and we have implemented strong warnings and internal training to prevent such situations from recurring."
Nevertheless, Lee Mujin's team indicated a strong response, stating, "We will take all necessary measures to ensure that similar incidents do not occur in the future. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our fans and will do our utmost to ensure that our artists can work in a safe and respectful environment."
