The K-POP world-scale debut project ‘BOYS 2 PLANET’ has unveiled a lineup of top-tier masters that will birth a top boy group.
K-POP’s world-scale debut project Mnet ‘BOYS 2 PLANET’ (BOYS II PLANET / directed by Kim Shin-young, Jung Woo-young, Ko Jung-gyeong) has confirmed ten professional masters who will train and develop trainees. The first performance of the training signal song will be officially unveiled in a global showcase format on the official YouTube, TikTok, and the global K-POP content platform ‘Mnet Plus’ at 6 p.m. on the 12th, heating up the hearts of K-POP fans around the world.
Additionally, going beyond the existence of expert masters and planet masters from the last season, ‘BOYS 2 PLANET’ has expanded to include special idol masters, enhancing the broader worldview.
First, the expert masters will serve as the key trainers to implement the direction of ‘BOYS 2 PLANET’, leading not only the improvement of participants' skills but also the overall growth process intensively. The master lineup for ‘BOYS 2 PLANET K’ includes Lee Seok-hoon, Kinky, and Kany. Taking the lead is Lee Seok-hoon, who was active as a vocal trainer in Mnet ‘Produce 101’ Season 2 and ‘Boys Planet’, while Kinky from ‘Street Man Fighter’ and the worldwide choreographer Kany will join in, promising intense customized training.
‘BOYS 2 PLANET C’ will feature Kim Jaejoong, Xiaoting, and Jrick. Kim Jaejoong, a well-rounded artist who has experienced the full process from idol trainee to top artist, is expected to provide sincere advice to the participants, while Xiaoting, who debuted through ‘Girls Planet 999: Girl War’, is anticipated to serve as a strong mentor capable of forming a cultural rapport with global participants. The choreographer Jrick, with extensive collaboration experience with global K-POP artists, is also expected to create powerful synergy.
Additionally, Lim Han-byeol, Hyorin, Back Kooyoung, and Justhis will serve as common expert masters participating in ‘BOYS 2 PLANET K’ and ‘BOYS 2 PLANET C’. They will play a role in applying fair and objective standards to the training and evaluation of participants in both planets, helping to assess participants' strengths and weaknesses with a balanced perspective.
Along with this, Sung Hanbin and Jang Hao from ZEROBASEONE will provide advice and support to the participants as special idol masters at the closest distance. Those who debuted through ‘Boys Planet’ Season 1 are expected to effectively perform the role of rookie masters as active K-POP idols.
Meanwhile, Mnet ‘BOYS 2 PLANET’ is focusing on the individuality and narratives of participants gathered from around the world, forecasting a grand epic toward the birth of a single global boy group.
