The WM Entertainment rookie girl group USPEER cited Oh My Girl as their role model.
USPEER (Ye-won, So-i, Si-an, Seo-yu, Da-on, Chae-na, Ro-ah) held a showcase for the release of their first single album 'SPEED ZONE' at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the 4th.
USPEER is a girl group presented by WM Entertainment, which has introduced B1A4, Oh My Girl, ONF, and Lee Chae-yeon, about 10 years after Oh My Girl. The team name USPEER is a combination of 'US' and 'SPEER (to question)', meaning "we will understand the essence of the world we will be in together and create a better future."
USPEER consists of seven members with various charms, including leader Ye-won, passionate rapper So-i, versatile hexagonal member Si-an, lovable smiling Seo-yu, clear charm Da-on, cheerful Chae-na, and emotional vocal youngest Ro-ah.
USPEER's role model is Oh My Girl. Seo-yu said, "Since Oh My Girl is a national girl group, we want to follow in their footsteps." So-i noted, "Since Oh My Girl is loved as a team and shows a lot of charm as individuals through solo activities, acting, and entertainment, we want to follow that path as well."
In particular, Ye-won said, "Rather than simply saying our concept is sports, we are filming videos and presenting content that compares energy and vitality to speed. I believe our distinction is in how we specifically and detail-orientedly present it in various fields." Seo-yu stated, "Our song features powerful performances. You can check out a lot of content related to sports. I think the atmosphere that our team exudes is filled with energy."
What distinguishes us from other girl groups? Chae-na said, "I think showing our own energetic side is the distinction."
USPEER's first single album 'SPEED ZONE' will be released on various music sites at 6 p.m. on the same day.
