Comedian Kim Sook revealed that she invested 6 million won in stocks during her wandering days, leaving her with just 200,000 won.

On the afternoon of the 4th, Kim Sook, celebrating her 30th anniversary of her debut, appeared as a guest on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block.'

In response to congratulations on her 30th anniversary, Kim Sook said, 'Please take away the 30th anniversary. I have too few achievements. It became 30 years as I was playing around. After going through the 30th anniversary, I realized I was taking it easy more than I thought. My wandering was 20 years. I'm too shy to even hold a birthday party. I’ll hide during my wedding.'

Debuting at the age of 21 in 1995 after winning a silver medal at the college comedy competition, Kim Sook was nicknamed a fool in the comedians' circle.

Kim Sook, who had a wandering period and vanished from the broadcasting scene, explained, 'I started a clothing store in front of Ewha Womans University. At that time, I realized that I disliked people and was struggling. I had no confidence to face customers, so I looked at my store from across the street.'

He mentioned that after closing the clothing store two months later, he did various part-time jobs, including painting on plates. He also invested in stocks, saying, 'On my way to withdraw 6 million won from my savings to buy a small car, I met a senior writer I knew. They suggested I just invest a little and go for a Grandeur, so I invested all 6 million won in stocks. Later, it became 200,000 won. In the end, I bought a bicycle.'

Afterward, Kim Sook became addicted to gaming. He stated, 'I was so happy. My gaming asset was 2 trillion won. I played various games,' adding, 'I had about four computers at home, like a PC room. At that time, I was really addicted. I would stay up all night and sleep around 10 a.m. I'd wake up in the evening, have breakfast, and take a stroll around the neighborhood to buy cigarettes. I was about 25, 26 years old then. It was a dark period.'

'I was shocked when I looked at myself in the mirror. My whole face was in shadow. I was so young, yet my face looked rotten. I wondered if that was me. At that time, I quit everything - alcohol, cigarettes. I started living earnestly from that point,' he said, adding, 'Looking back now, I think I was sulking because no one called me. I always lived within 10 minutes of the broadcasting station, constantly moving around Yeouido.'
