Girls' Generation member and actress Seohyun announced a strong response against online trolls.
On the 4th, Seohyun's agency, LEAD Entertainment, announced through official accounts such as social media that "Regarding our artist Seohyun, we will take strong legal action, in collaboration with our partner lawyer (law firm), against various malicious defamation, dissemination of false information, personal attack posts, defamation posts, and instances of malicious comments circulating in online communities and on social media."
They warned, "Continuous actions that harm the artist's reputation and insult their character on online platforms are clear criminal acts, and there will be absolutely no settlements or leniency."
They also added, "We have begun collecting materials to protect our artist, and the reports and information provided by fans will greatly assist us in our legal preparations and responses."
Meanwhile, Seohyun will appear in the new KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday drama "The First Night With the Duke," which is set to air on June 11.

- Repeated defamation and threatening messages (Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes)
