YG Entertainment’s newly revealed girl group trainee EVELLI has already garnered explosive attention from global fans before her debut, heralding the birth of the ‘next-generation monster’.

According to YG Entertainment on the 4th, EVELLI’s performance video of ‘Nosebleeds’, released through the official YouTube channel ‘YG NEXT MONSTER’, surpassed 10 million views around 1 a.m. this day, just a week after its release. Since being initially posted on May 28, the video has sparked an explosive reaction, with the number of subscribers increasing by more than 150,000.

The fact that a trainee who has not even debuted has achieved this record is particularly remarkable. As the emergence of this new talent, which continues the lineage of YG’s representative girl groups that have captivated the global stage, including BLACKPINK and BABYMONSTER, is anticipated, global music fans are focusing their attention.

In particular, EVELLI in the video captivated viewers with solid rapping that defies her age of 15, along with a trendy vocal tone and a polished performance. Coupled with her lovely visuals and confident stage attitude, responses expressing that ‘anticipation for her debut has grown even higher’ continue to pour in.

Indeed, comments on social media include, ‘Is this really a trainee?’, ‘YG hip-hop genes fully embedded’, ‘Visuals + skills all-rounder’, and ‘Seems like another global stage takeover after BLACKPINK.’ Some international fans expressed their anticipation, noting that ‘even EVELLI alone is already half a success.’

YG has confirmed this next girl group will consist of four members, with EVELLI starting the lineup, and a total of four members will be revealed sequentially. Chief producer Yang Hyun-suk has stated his ambition to be evaluated solely based on “skills, talent, and presence on stage,” which heightens curiosity about the remaining three members.

Meanwhile, EVELLI is a 15-year-old trainee from Australia who is trilingual, fluent in Korean, English, and Spanish, and excels in both vocal and rap as an all-rounder.
