Hong Jin Kyung posted a handwritten apology on her personal social media on the afternoon of the 3rd.

Currently on a business trip abroad, and due to the time difference, Hong Jin Kyung said the apology was delayed, stating, "When I woke up in the morning, I received a lot of calls. I have often thought it was really unfortunate to see celebrities engaging in actions that could be misunderstood during the voting period, but during this sensitive time, to think I would commit such a foolish mistake, I truly feel absurd myself."

In response, she explained, "The photos I posted on my feed were taken two days ago at a store in Stockholm," adding, "I shared the pictures thinking the design was fun, but I did not consider the color of the top I was wearing at that time."

She also noted, "Having been overseas for a long time, so far removed from life in Korea, I have lost my sense of tension," and added, "Regardless of the reason, I was wrong. Even if I had ten mouths, I would have nothing to say, and it is clearly wrong on my part. I sincerely apologize once again for confusing your hearts during this sensitive time."

On the 2nd, Hong Jin Kyung posted photos taken at a clothing brand store in Stockholm, Sweden, on her personal social media. Among them, a photo of her in a dark red sweater sparked controversy over political color, raising suspicions that she was supporting a specific candidate in the 21st presidential election.
