As the final voter turnout for the 21st presidential election is provisionally tallied at 79.4%, the principled remarks of stars in the entertainment industry have shone.

First, Lee Dong-wook sent a message through the fan communication platform Bubble on the 1st, saying, "I voted on the first day of early voting. I will shoot on the day of the actual voting. And early voting is convenient. The lines are short."

He emphasized, "I always tell you who say there will be no one to vote, voting is to prevent the worst. If there is no best, choose the next best, and if there is no next best, choose the least bad to prevent the worst."

The principled remarks of the stars continued. Singer Lee Sang-soon said on the 3rd on MBC Radio's "Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon" in response to a listener's comment that it was nice because it was a day off, "It is not a day off. It is a voting day. You can vote and then rest. It is a day you don’t go to work but vote."

On the same day, Kim Shin-young also said on MBC Radio's "Hope Song at Noon with Kim Shin-young", "Today is the day of the 21st presidential election. I hope the turnout increases. Anyone who is 18 or older can vote. There is nothing scarier than voting, not guns or knives. Please exercise your precious rights. You must bring your identification card."

Additionally, Kim Shin-young remarked, "When there is leisure, comedy is loved. I hope more leisure arises and comedy content increases. I miss those days when we could laugh without being too serious. I hope those days return," urging, "Let’s all vote. The best right is the right to vote. Let’s look around carefully and make a decision. Everyone, let’s go for it!"

Kim Seon-ah also posted a selfie after voting on the 3rd, stating, "Voting is not about who to choose, but about who not to choose." This conveyed a heavy yet powerful message.

In addition to these, various stars such as Yim Siwan, the couple of Do Kyung-wan and Jang Yoon-jung, Yoon Eun-hye, Jung Ga-eun, Lee Min-woo, Park Bo-young, Kang Mal-geum, IU, J-Hope, Lee Eun-mi, Shin Gi-ru, and Lee Chae-yeon have encouraged voting by posting their voting selfies.

Meanwhile, according to the National Election Commission's website, as of 8 p.m. on the 3rd, the voting closed with 35,244,416 participants out of a total of 44,391,871 registered voters. The voting results also reflect the early voting rate of 34.74% conducted on the 29th and 30th of the previous month, as well as overseas, ship, and absentee voting rates.

The provisional voter turnout for this presidential election is the highest in 29 years since the 80.7% turnout recorded in the 14th presidential election in 1997. However, early voting was not conducted from the 15th to the 18th presidential elections.
