Group ASTRO's JinJin successfully wrapped up the show musical 'Dream High,' showcasing a more mature appearance as a musical actor, while interest has been drawn to the reason for his military exemption that was recently revealed.

Until the 1st, JinJin took to the stage at the Woori Financial Art Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul, as Song Sam-dong in the musical 'Dream High,' connecting with the audience. The character Song Sam-dong, portrayed by JinJin, is the protagonist in the original drama and is the character who debuted as the singer 'The K' in the play. He filled the stage with a stable vocal performance and strong presence.

Earlier, JinJin successfully completed performances in Japan last month, establishing his position as a musical actor by presenting deeper emotional expressions and high-quality acting in this domestic stage. In particular, starting with the premiere in early 2023, he appeared consecutively in various works, including 'Winter Voyage' and 'Crash Landing on You,' showing significant growth in his ability to embody characters.

JinJin has been actively engaged on stage. Yesterday, on the 2nd, his agency, Fantagio, announced the news of his military exemption. According to the agency, he received an exemption from military service after the Military Manpower Administration determined, based on the results of a detailed physical examination, that he could not serve due to an autoimmune disease.

The agency stated, "While there are no disruptions to his daily life, he received a military exemption based on medical advice, as it was determined that periodic check-ups and management would make it difficult for him to live in a special group setting," emphasizing the priority on his health.

Fans have also responded with comments such as, "I understand it's disappointing because we know how much JinJin loves the stage," and "I hope he takes care of his health and continues to perform for a long time," sending him their unwavering support.

Meanwhile, from February to March, JinJin held his first solo concert *[JIN LAB Vol.1: Find Your Groove]* successfully in Korea and Japan, continuing to actively forge his path as a solo artist. Attention is now focused on JinJin, who will concentrate on health management and stage activities instead of military service.
