The representative of a venture corporation that protects the environment through recycling, Kim Jeong-bin, known as 'the man who became rich by collecting garbage', will appear on 'Millionaire Next Door.'
The show, co-produced by EBS and E Channel, will air on the 4th at 9:55 p.m., highlighting Kim Jeong-bin's life as the head of a recycling corporation that has garnered attention for its 'garbage transaction' and his perspective on the world and society.
Kim Jeong-bin's company collects discarded PET bottles to produce renewable raw materials that can replace oil. It achieved an annual revenue of 19 billion won in 2024, with a corporate value reaching 250 billion won. In particular, he has developed a recycling robot that exchanges PET bottles for cash, providing everyone with the opportunity to engage in environmental protection in an easy and fun way. The company operates 1,496 recycling robots nationwide, with a total compensation amounting to 5.4 billion won.
Amidst this, Seo Jang-hoon, who meets Kim Jeong-bin, notes, "I am serious about recycling. You will be surprised to see how I live," revealing his unique 'recycling pride.'
He explains his strict recycling rules, saying, "I scrape off not only the adhesive residue from the labels of PET bottles but also every piece of tape attached to cardboard boxes." He adds, "I even adjust the angle and water pressure when washing delivery containers to ensure not a drop of food remains," which reportedly left the 'Millionaire Next Door' production crew astounded.
Seo Jang-hoon's 'true environmental enthusiast' moment, transformed into an 'eco-friendly giant,' can be seen in more detail on the main broadcast of 'Millionaire Next Door' on Wednesday, the 4th, at 9:55 p.m. on EBS and E Channel.
