Shiloh, the daughter of Hollywood actor Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, debuted with a new name at an event held in Los Angeles last Thursday, according to Page Six on Feb. 2.
According to reports, Shiloh took the stage as a choreographer for an original dance performance at the event.
It is reported that Shiloh's new name was recorded as "Shi Joli," reflecting a homage to her mother Angelina Jolie while shortening her legal name.
Shiloh has been frequently spotted taking dance classes in Los Angeles. On her 18th birthday in May, she requested to officially discard her father's surname, Pitt, and it was legally approved in August.
As a result, she changed her name from Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie. Brad Pitt has found himself in a situation where he is also denied by his own daughter following his divorce from Angelina Jolie. Not only Shiloh but also their 20-year-old Zahara Jolie-Pitt introduced herself as Zahara Marlee Jolie during her college entrance ceremony in 2023.
Shiloh's lawyer stated, "This was an independent and significant decision made after a painful event." It is reported that Shiloh hired a lawyer and paid for the expense of discarding Pitt's surname without Angelina Jolie's involvement.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were married in 2014, and Shiloh was born in 2006. A representative for Brad Pitt said, "He knew that Shiloh had discarded the name Pitt and was upset about it. He felt a joy that was beyond words when Shiloh was born. Pitt wanted to have a daughter, and that dream came true. Reminding him that he lost his children is never easy for Pitt. He loves and misses them. It’s a very sad matter."
Pitt commented in an interview last month about the conclusion of his long divorce proceedings with Jolie, saying, "It wasn't such a significant matter. It was just a legal process that had been finalized."
