As a complete group, the band N.Flying, celebrating its 10th anniversary since debut, shared that they want to “remain an unchanging presence” in their new album. This album is a confession to fans and a declaration of the next 10 years for N.Flying.

On the afternoon of the 2nd, N.Flying held a promotional interview for their second regular album “Everlasting” at the FNC Entertainment headquarters in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, and discussed their new album.

N.Flying’s second regular album “Everlasting” contains a romantic message promising NP (fandom name) that they will remain unchanged. With meanings of “eternal” and “unchanging,” it raises expectations for N.Flying’s next 10 years.

Yoo Hwe-seung expressed his excitement about the new album, saying, “I was happy that a regular album was released. With many joyful events coinciding with the 10th anniversary and the complete group, I felt that this album must contain a good message, and I wanted to include a message that could repay the fans who waited for us.”

This album, filled with a total of 12 tracks, features Lee Seung-hyub’s participation in all song production, while Yoo Hwe-seung contributed to the composition of “Moebius” and the lyrics of “LOG” to enhance its quality.

Lee Seung-hyub explained, “I always wrote the feelings I felt at that time in my phone notes since I started working on it. So it feels like a diary. What I wanted to say most was, ‘I want to live as someone unchanged, so please let me live like this.’ It started from there, and it developed. When I asked myself what was unchanging, the theme of eternal snow came to mind. The working period was from when we released ‘Blue Moon’ and continued from there. I selected only the favorite songs among those I’ve been accumulating over time.”

The title track “Everlasting” features an acoustic piano intro reminiscent of Britpop, along with marching drums and a guitar solo, conveying the message “I want to remain an unchanging presence in your heart.”

Lee Seung-hyub mentioned about the title track, “The words that appeared the most in the lyrics were eternity and moment. Those were the two words I kept writing and erasing. I thought these could be the keywords for this album. The last track I worked on was ‘Everlasting,’ which I believe encompasses both of those ideas. It seems to connect with the worldview of our previous work ‘Blue Moon.’”

Yoo Hwe-seung shared, “When I first heard ‘Everlasting,’ I thought this is the song. The musical sound was great, and the lyrics that my brother had prepared for the demo were simple yet the best. From the demo, I felt that those who listen might feel the same way I do, so I knew this was the song.”

Lee Seung-hyub, who received a lot of love for his role as Baek In-hyuk in last year’s tvN show “Lovely Runner,” revealed that the popularity of “Lovely Runner” greatly helped the band’s activities.

He said, “I am very grateful that it has helped us a lot. There are many fans who recognize Baek In-hyuk and acknowledge the team N.Flying, which made our songs gain interest. Since then, I’ve seen many festival attendees singing along to our songs. It has been incredibly helpful.”

In recent years, with a band boom drawing attention to many bands, N.Flying commented, “There are indeed many bands, and we are also inspired and learn from the music of those who make good music. At the venues, there are fans, as well as those who are not fans, but I believe the reason for the excitement at each stage is due to the musicality that the band possesses. While I think our albums, which are wonderful and precious, are certainly not inferior to others, it seems the same.”

Yoo Hwe-seung pointed out that a must-play song at performances is “Rooftop Room,” stating, “I feel that the power of a hit song is tremendous. Even those who do not know us well seem to appreciate good songs, so I hope that they will enjoy the song and also take interest in other songs. I am grateful for this song.”

Finally, N.Flying conveyed their aspirations regarding the goals for this album: “We hope to become a band loved by more people. Furthermore, when we perform again, we want to create a stage that makes people come to the next concert with those songs. We hope that many resonate with this song.”
