Comedian Lee Sugeun revealed today that he is scheduled for eye surgery.
On the morning of the 2nd, Lee Sugeun appeared as a guest on KBS Cool FM's 'Park Myung-soo's Radio Show' and showcased his wit.
Lee Sugeun, who is visiting KBS Radio after a long time, shared his special feelings, saying, "I can't even remember when I was last at KBS Radio."
After recently returning from Kenya, where he filmed the spinoff of 'New Journey to the West' titled 'Three Meals a Day in Kenya', Lee Sugeun stated, "I had a great trip," and added, "I went for the first time, and the weather was so nice that I wondered if this was really Africa, with such good weather and good conditions." He also mentioned, "There are hippos in front of my house, and elephants can be seen anytime. I got shots every day before going, but when I arrived, I found it very clean and nice."
Regarding rumors of discord with Producer Na Young-seok, he said, "I don't really know. We kept in touch. Since we haven't filmed much, people say that we might have fought, but there can't be discord since there’s no benefit in fighting with Na PD.'
In response to Park Myung-soo's question about why Producer Na Young-seok seems to not call him, he replied, "Isn't there a position? To work with Myung-soo hyung, we have to start something new focusing on him," and asked, "If we do 'Kang's Kitchen', would you come to the kitchen? Can you endure it?" To this, Park Myung-soo replied, "I can go. I don't care. The people I work with might be concerned, though."
Lee Sugeun, who has been on 'Knowing Bros' for 11 years and 'Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller' for 7 years, disclosed the secret to his longevity, stating, "There is none. I take good care of my seniors and expert teachers. Since I have a small build, I can blend in anywhere and fulfill my role well."
In response to a question about his favorite program, he stated, "'1 Night 2 Days' is the program that made me who I am today. I have been at KBS for a long time, and I continue to see the juniors doing '1 Night 2 Days'. Right now, 'Knowing Bros' is the most precious to me."
At 50 years old, he mentioned, "For no reason, I took Theraflu and slept yesterday. I keep sneezing and my immunity is low. I just feel dazed. I don't know how to explain it. I feel sick and very tired," and added, "You have to take care of your health from a young age. After today, I’m going to the ophthalmologist for eye surgery. They will do lens implantation. I’m going to ask whether to go ahead with it or not. I heard that when you wake up in the morning, the world looks different."
Additionally, it is reported that Lee Sugeun provided advice to Kim Dae-ho regarding his choice of agency after he declared himself a free agent, saying, "He is a junior from my hometown, but since there is a big difference, my parents know. When Kim Dae-ho passed the announcer audition, there were banners in the neighborhood," and added, "In fact, even if we are from the same agency, we hardly meet. Everyone is so busy. I’m always cheering for him. I hope he does well. I’m worried that if he pushes too hard while the iron is hot, it might break."
