Actor Kim Sung-jung will team up with Cho Yi-hyun and Choo Young-Woo as friends.

On the 2nd, the agency YY Entertainment stated that "Kim Sung-jung will appear in the new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy,' which will first air on the 23rd."

'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy' (written by Yang Ji-hoon, directed by Kim Yong-wan, planned by CJ ENM, produced by Studio Dragon, DEXTER, and IO Content Group) is based on a popular webtoon of the same name and depicts the untamed first love salvation romance of a boy with a death fate and an MZ shaman girl trying to prevent it. Earlier, casting news of actors Cho Yi-hyun and Choo Young-Woo has garnered much attention.

Kim Sung-jung will play the role of Kim Jin-woong, a tough-looking delinquent. Although he acts in a prickly manner due to his rough personality, he has a strangely clumsy side and will experience change as he builds friendships with his peers. Expectations are high for how Kim Sung-jung will portray the contrasting aspects of a boy who exudes a delinquent vibe while also having a goofy side.

After debuting in the 2021 musical 'Hadestown,' Kim Sung-jung recently left a short but strong impression as part of the gang of Geum Sung-je (Lee Jun-young) in 'Weak Hero Class 2,' which was released on Netflix.

The new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy,' which Kim Sung-jung has joined, will first air at 8:50 p.m. on the 23rd.
