In the TCAS E Channel program 'Student Chef,' Yoon Kyung-ho, who is obsessed with Ryu Soo-young, showcases a 'true brother' chemistry with Ryu Soo-young, attempting a rebellion that brings laughter. Amid the enthusiastic menu development between the two, Ryu Soo-young steals the spotlight by sharing gourmet cooking tips that novice cooks must heed.
In the TCAS E Channel 'Student Chef' airing on the 31st (Saturday), Yoon Kyung-ho and Ki-hyun are spotted diligently developing recipes even in the car on their way back to the accommodation. Yoon Kyung-ho noted, "(Ryu Soo-young) Brother is currently receiving a special class from a two-star chef. Regular recipes won’t suffice. I need to use a cheat key."
Back at the accommodation, Yoon Kyung-ho, Ryu Soo-young, and Ki-hyun gathered as a complete team to hold a discussion on the recipes they have learned. When Yoon Kyung-ho said, "I think I need to get a preliminary check (from Ryu Soo-young) before creating the student recipe," Ryu Soo-young replied, "You don't have to. If you're confident, just do it as is." However, Yoon Kyung-ho humorously cut off Ryu Soo-young's words, saying, "I am asking because I am not confident."
Following the failure due to the fishy taste of the egg soup from the previous Bakgalryang (Daegu), Yoon Kyung-ho began his cooking with a heavy heart and started recipe consultations with Ryu Soo-young. As one of the 'K-Dads,' he expressed, "I want to create 'Budaekki Bread' for the dads who have had a day filled with 'Budae jjigae'..." showcasing a storytelling aspect that has grown in proportion to his reduced confidence. Ryu Soo-young laughed, saying, "Did you just explain for 20 minutes to talk about Budaekki Bread?"
As Yoon Kyung-ho challenged himself to fill the stuffing of the 'Budaekki Bread,' Ryu Soo-young released a luxurious 'hint' for him, a cooking novice, by seasoning and grilling meatballs. He advised, "When seasoning with salt and pepper, think of it as 0.6g for a pinch. Consider it two pinches per 100g of meat. If you want to truly elevate the quality, try grilling it this way first." To enhance the quality of Budaekki Bread, Yoon Kyung-ho seasoned the small meatballs according to Ryu Soo-young's advice and grilled them first. The final product of Yoon Kyung-ho's 'Budaekki Bread,' aimed at Korean dads, will be unveiled in the main broadcast.
Meanwhile, when Yoon Kyung-ho asked Ryu Soo-young to borrow a Chinese chef's knife, he requested a 'Chinese chef's greeting.' Ryu Soo-young struck a pose reminiscent of a martial arts movie to greet him. However, Yoon Kyung-ho coldly shook his head, saying, "Not that, but a polite..." and demonstrated how to bow respectfully. Ryu Soo-young responded, "Don’t! It’s embarrassing; I’m feeling a reality check right now..." showcasing a 'special charm' with a cute chemistry.
Meanwhile, an opportunity arises to taste the 'Student Recipes' created by Ryu Soo-young, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Ki-hyun, who went cooking abroad to Portugal. From May 31st (Saturday) to June 8th (Sunday), a pop-up store will be opened at the Hyundai Department Store (The Hyundai Seoul) located in Yeouido, Seoul.
TCAS presents the food world tour of Ryu Soo-young, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Ki-hyun, the 'three brothers who know food!' 'Student Chef,' which involves eating, learning, and completing world cuisine, airs every Saturday at 5:20 p.m. on E Channel. Additionally, it will be rebroadcast every Monday at 9 p.m. After that, it will also be available on Netflix, Wavve, TVING, and Watcha.
