Broadcaster Tak Jae-hoon has cautiously drawn a line regarding the legal dispute over the web entertainment program 'No Backing Down Tak Jae-hoon.'
On the 30th, a representative from Tak Jae-hoon's side stated to OSEN, "Regarding 'No Backing Down Tak Jae-hoon,' I am simply signing a participation contract and participating. I have no equity in the channel and am not involved in the dispute."
Earlier, a report from a media outlet stated that the 'No Backing Down Tak Jae-hoon' channel, which has 1.85 million subscribers, is facing a lawsuit of about 1 billion won due to debt, and during the process of transferring ownership and dividing some of the equity, Tak Jae-hoon raised his participation fee threefold, while channel operators A and B reportedly made tens of billions of won.
However, regarding the dispute, Tak Jae-hoon's side emphasized that the dispute has no relation to the participants. Additionally, concerning the threefold increase in participation fees, they said, "Initially, when the previous agency had equity in 'No Backing Down Tak Jae-hoon,' I received less than the existing fee for participation considering the situation. However, as the agency sold its equity, there was no longer a reason to participate at a lower cost, so I renegotiated to receive my original fee again."
