Wow! Really? Is this for real? 'Mystery: 100' kicked off Season 2.

On the first episode of Season 2, aired on 29th, SBS 'Wow! Really? Is this for real?' presented a special 'Mystery: 100' segment, prepared diligently by the production team during the 100-day period of reorganization, capturing the viewer's time completely.

The broadcast recorded an average rating of 3.4% (based on national households) according to Nielsen Korea's tally, with a peak rating soaring to 4.6% (based on metropolitan households). The 'best minute' depicted the moment when the reason behind the 'mysterious delivery message' was revealed.

In the first episode, stories that were hard to believe unfolded interestingly, starting with 'a store visited by a ghost', followed by 'mosquitoes are hell', and 'mysterious delivery messages', captivating not only the four MCs—Jun Hyun-moo, Baek Ji-young, Kim Ho-young, and Subin—but also drawing the viewers' attention. Additionally, a segment titled 'I am a multiple personality disorder' where someone confessed to having four or five personalities, along with a 'presidential special' planned in line with the election season, was teased at the end of the broadcast, significantly raising curiosity for the next episode.

The four MCs, reunited after 100 days in the studio, expressed their determination. Jun Hyun-moo declared, "The 100-day broadcast reorganization period felt like 10 years," adding, "No script, no direction, no fabrication! The real stories without MSG are starting again." Following this, Kang Seung-yoon of the group WINNER appeared and supported them, saying, "Aren't I 'WINNER'? I want to share the energy of victory." Moreover, Jun Hyun-moo mentioned, "There’s something new this season," subsequently emphasizing, "In Season 2, every episode will be a special episode," raising expectations. Immediately afterward, the first story of the 'Mystery: 100' special titled 'A store visited by a ghost' was revealed.

In the CCTV footage, a store appeared to be empty with no one present, yet a 40kg iron door opened on its own, sending chills down everyone’s spine. The production team, upon confirming the phenomenon, visited a law video analysis center to request an examination of the CCTV footage. The expert stated, "Typically, CCTV has a motion detection feature, so it records based on the movement of objects. This footage wouldn’t record when there’s no one there, but the shadow on the blackout screen, coupled with the wind, triggered motion detection. Overall, it seems that the video was captured due to the weather conditions at that time, and there are no signs of tampering. The likelihood of manipulation is low."

As questions remained unanswered, the production team consulted with a shaman who provided acting advice for actress Kim Goeun in the movie 'The Drug King' and interviewed a science communicator. The two offered differing interpretations, with claims of it being a spiritual phenomenon alongside a scientifically explicable event. The science communicator then attempted a similar experiment, but due to the challenges of perfectly replicating the weather conditions at the time, the complete reproduction was impossible; however, the pressure difference suggested that the door could open on its own. To this, Kang Seung-yoon humorously remarked, "I don’t think it feels resolved. But I hope the two of you didn’t fight," making everyone burst into laughter. The store owner who reported the incident said, "I think it's 51% shaman and 49% scientist." However, three days later, the store owner contacted the production team again, stating, "The door opened again. It feels like it’s saying, '(Ghost) you still won’t believe it?'" which sent chills through everyone.

Next came the story titled 'War with mosquitoes.' The informant expressed, "I live in a living hell. The smell of blood is overwhelming. It’s a total war," as they revealed their home, infested with thousands of mosquitoes daily. The actual visit to the home showed it completely filled with mosquitoes, and mosquito carcasses were piled high inside the bathroom vent. Shocked by the scene, Baek Ji-young exclaimed, "That’s not grass, that’s mosquitoes?" while Jun Hyun-moo added, "To think that’s real, it’s unbelievable," sharing in the pain. The production team attempted to sleep at the home based on the informant's testimony, stating, "They can’t sleep because mosquitoes come out day and night all year round." Seeing this, Jun Hyun-moo lamented, "Our production team also has a harsh job." Ultimately, the production team declared a surrender on sleeping and sought help from a mosquito research expert. Fortunately, the expert carefully analyzed the house's structure and surrounding environment before prescribing a solution, leading to a massive disinfection operation. Days later, the informant expressed gratitude, saying, "It improved a lot compared to before."

Finally, the story titled 'The mysterious delivery message' unfolded. The informant shared, "I get several unknown delivery messages a day, and it's stressful." Jun Hyun-moo expressed concern, saying, "If it’s every day, isn’t that smishing?" while the possibility of a prank by an acquaintance was raised; however, the informant denied, saying, "No one harbors enough resentment against me to do that." In response, the production team had the message analyzed by an expert, who diagnosed, "This is not a smishing message. It's a normal text message." To this, Baek Ji-young questioned, "That result is even scarier and stranger, isn't it?" tilting her head.

In this mysterious situation, the production team inquired with the delivery company. They also visited various delivery firms nationwide and the address listed in the text, putting in considerable effort. As a result, they found that a seller had mistakenly entered the informant's number on their website. After resolving this issue satisfactorily, a video of an informant stating, "I am a multiple personality disorder" was revealed, introducing himself as a “20-year veteran trainer,” but soon after, while dressed as a woman, claimed, "I am a 30-something who likes making reels," shocking everyone. As everyone was engaged, this story carried over to next week, prompting Kang Seung-yoon to assert, "Showing just the trailer and making us curious is really aggravating," bringing laughter to the studio.

From the first broadcast, SBS 'Wow! Really? Is this for real?' engaged viewers with shockingly real stories without MSG. Episode 2 will air on June 5, Thursday at 9 p.m., featuring a 'presidential special.'
