Handambi, who gave birth with placenta previa on 'Our Baby Has Been Born,' revealed her severe bleeding during that time.

The childbirth experience of the couple Handambi and Lee Gyu-hyeok was unveiled on the 30th broadcast of TV Chosun's entertainment program 'Our Baby Has Been Born.'

Handambi's doctor said, 'A normal delivery is not possible; the condition is complete placenta previa,' adding, 'Having placenta previa is indeed a burdensome surgery. In the past, the uterus would have to be completely removed,' explaining, 'Severe bleeding is expected, so a blood transfusion consent form is received in advance. If it had been the Joseon Dynasty, both the mother and child would have died,' highlighting the risks of placenta previa, as there was no Cesarean section at that time.

Gynecology specialist Kim Ji-yeon, serving as a consultant, added, 'There’s no need to go back to the Joseon Dynasty; even in the era when gynecology did not exist, this would have resulted in the deaths of both the mother and baby,' heightening the tension.

The gynecology specialist further spoke about placenta previa, stating, 'The fact that Handambi managed to go to 38 weeks is remarkable; typically, we consider it from 36 weeks onward,' mentioning the risks of bleeding, 'In times when there was no gynecology, everyone would have died. Babies could not be born during the Joseon Dynasty; cases of home births or delays in hospital visits could lead to deaths of both the baby and mother, making it that dangerous,' expressing amazement at the couple Handambi and Lee Gyu-hyeok.

Handambi, who entered childbirth in the dangerously life-threatening state of 'placenta previa,' and her husband Lee Gyu-hyeok, who anxiously awaited this moment. The childbirth record of Handambi and Lee Gyu-hyeok, which was fraught with danger, was revealed for the first time.

Lee Gyu-hyeok anxiously waited for news about his wife and baby. Park Soo-hong happened to come to support them, and Lee Gyu-hyeok expressed his nervousness, saying, 'I just hope everything goes well,' but the surgery took longer than expected, and he showed a worried expression, with already 30 minutes elapsed since the start of the surgery.

The specialist informed the waiting husband Lee Gyu-hyeok, 'The surgery is not easy. The placenta was also adherent,' stating, 'It bled much more than expected. About 1,400 cc (ml)...'

For a while, Lee Gyu-hyeok was at a loss for words, visibly restless. Later, the specialist said, 'The placenta was removed successfully, and it was stitched up,' introducing their daughter. Finally meeting his daughter for the first time, Lee Gyu-hyeok exclaimed, 'How can this be? It's so amazing,' showing that he had become a doting father.
