Broadcaster Tak Jae-hoon spoke up regarding reports that he raised his grants threefold during the transfer process of the 'No Backing Tak Jae-hoon' channel.

On the 30th, one media outlet reported that the 'No Backing Tak Jae-hoon' channel, which has 1.85 million subscribers, faced a lawsuit worth about 1 billion won for defaulting on a debt, and during the transfer of the channel's ownership and the division of some equity, Tak Jae-hoon raised his grants threefold and that channel operators A and B made off with tens of billions of won.

According to reports, in October 2023, A approached the production company The Service Center of 'No Backing Tak Jae-hoon' to establish a joint venture Sigma Studio and appointed B as a director. Afterward, they signed a production agency contract for the 'No Backing Tak Jae-hoon' channel, and two months later, in December, they acquired 100% equity of the channel for 1 billion won, paying the channel's former agency, Chrome Entertainment.

Subsequently, B created an atmosphere claiming that acquiring some equity of the 'No Backing Tak Jae-hoon' channel would yield greater profits, and thus The Service Center acquired the 51% equity held by A for 700 million won. B also received 120 million won from The Service Center under the guise of an introduction fee for the channel.

However, once the money was deposited, A and B started refusing to settle since July of last year. They mentioned Tak Jae-hoon's grants, arguing that it was unfair for him to bear millions of won in grants alone, and they also challenged an incident where B was fired for using corporate cards for personal entertainment expenses.

Additionally, after discussions about a management contract with Tak Jae-hoon, who became a free agent in November last year, fell through, A and B reportedly deleted the management rights for The Service Center's 'No Backing Tak Jae-hoon' channel from December, proceeding with unilateral operations.

Ultimately, The Service Center filed a lawsuit for contract termination due to default against High Squad, which A is affiliated with, in January. They also applied for a payment order regarding the 120 million won that B received under the guise of an introduction fee, which was granted.

However, regarding the related dispute, a representative from Tak Jae-hoon's side cautiously stated to OSEN, "(Regarding 'No Backing Tak Jae-hoon') I am simply signing the grants contract and participating. I have no equity in the channel and am not involved in the dispute."

Additionally, regarding reports that Tak Jae-hoon's grants increased threefold during the equity transfer process, he clarified, "When I originally had equity in 'No Backing Tak Jae-hoon' from my former agency, I participated for a cost lower than the original grants, considering the situation. It was at the level of grants from 20 years ago. However, after the agency sold its equity, there was no reason to continue participating at a lower cost, and thus I demanded the original grants I used to receive."
