BTS member Jin has swept the major charts on the U.S. Billboard with his solo album. He not only entered the top ranks of the main album chart 'Billboard 200' but also achieved significant results on the song charts, including the 'Hot 100', proving his global status.
According to the latest chart released by the U.S. music media Billboard on May 31 (Korean time), Jin's second mini album 'Echo' title track 'Don’t Say You Love Me' entered the Billboard main song chart 'Hot 100' at 90.
This is Jin's third entry on the 'Hot 100' chart. Previously, he placed his first solo single 'The Astronaut' (51) in 2022 and the title track 'Running Wild' from his first solo album 'Happy' (53) in 2024 on this chart.
Jin's presence is even more pronounced on the global song chart. 'Don’t Say You Love Me' went straight to the top of 'Digital Song Sales'. Furthermore, this song ranked 5th in 'Global (excluding U.S.)' and 7th in 'Global 200'.
Notably, all of the top six spots in 'World Digital Song Sales' feature Jin's new songs. Starting with 'Nothing Without Your Love' (1), 'Rope It', 'Background', 'Loser (feat. YENA (Choi Ye-na))', 'A Journey with Clouds', and 'To Me Today' followed in sequence. This can be termed a chart 'lineup'.
The album chart results are also remarkable. 'Echo' recorded 3rd place on the Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200', setting a new personal best for Jin. It ranked 1st in 'World Albums' and 2nd in 'Top Album Sales'. This is the first time his solo work has topped the 'World Albums'.
In addition to Jin, the solo songs of BTS members have been loved for a long time on Billboard. In the 'Global 200', Jimin's second solo album 'MUSE' title track 'Who' is at 103, and Jungkook's first solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' is at 157, successfully charting for 44 weeks and 96 weeks, respectively. In 'Global (excluding U.S.)', 'Who' is ranked 58 and 'Seven (feat. Latto)' is at 82.
