Rapper and businessman Beenzino (real name Lim Seong-bin) found himself in a political color controversy due to a social media post made on the day of early voting. In response, he deleted the post and issued a personal apology.

On the afternoon of the 29th, Beenzino posted several photos on his personal account with the caption 'World Red Day.' In the photos, Beenzino is seen wearing a white t-shirt, a red sleeveless shirt, and red pants while holding his son.

Additionally, Beenzino posted several pictures wearing outfits in red tones, and the last photo featured red pants from his launched brand, IAB Studio.

Beenzino's post was a typical social media update that would normally not cause issues; however, it became controversial as the early voting for the 21st presidential election began today (29th). Some speculated that Beenzino's social media post was intended to reveal his political color, commenting, 'Are you going to vote for 2?' and 'If you're political, why did you collaborate with Kia?'

Moreover, actor Lee Dong-hwi, a close friend of Beenzino, liked the post and commented with a red heart emoji, but he seemed to be aware of the controversy and deleted the comment. About two hours after posting, Beenzino also deleted the content.

After deleting the post, Beenzino personally apologized, saying, 'Hello, this is Beenzino. I sincerely apologize to those who felt uncomfortable due to the post I made today.'

Beenzino stated, 'There was no political intent at all. I just wanted to share the peaceful day spent with my family a few days ago and the moments in my studio in a good mood this morning.' He acknowledged, 'However, I am aware that the timing during the early voting period may have caused misunderstandings, and I feel that I could have been more cautious.'

He continued, 'I always think it's important to communicate healthily with various fans,' and added, 'Therefore, I feel regretful and insufficient about today's post. It has now been deleted, and I will be more careful and thoughtful about each expression in the future. I thank those who pointed out my shortcomings.'

Prior to Beenzino, aespa member Karina also found herself embroiled in political color controversy after wearing a red jumper with the number 2 written on it in a social media post. Karina also apologized to fans the next day, stating, 'There was really no such intent' and added, 'I will be more attentive and careful in the future. Sorry for causing concern.'

Meanwhile, Beenzino married German model Stephanie Michova in 2022 and welcomed a son last year.
