Hollywood star Kevin Costner has been sued for adding an unscripted sexual assault scene.
On the 28th (local time), the U.S. New York Times and other media reported that Devin LaBella, who appeared as a stand-in for the lead actress in the movie "Horizons: Legend of America - Chapter 2," filed a damages lawsuit against the film's director Kevin Costner and the production company.
According to this, LaBella claims that on May 2, 2023, Kevin Costner demanded an unscripted rape scene on the movie set. LaBella's side argues that Costner added the unscripted rape scene on the day of shooting, causing the lead actress, Ella Hunt, to refuse to film and leave the set, with LaBella, the stand-in actress, being brought in without proper knowledge of the situation and exposed to harsh sexual acts.
However, Costner's side denies the allegations, stating that LaBella agreed to the scene after the rehearsal filming on the day of shooting. His attorney emphasized, "Kevin Costner always strives to ensure that everyone can work comfortably on his films."
Kevin Costner is an actor and director who rose to stardom in Hollywood in the 1990s through films such as "Dances with Wolves," "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves," and "The Bodyguard." He has also starred in the popular American drama series "Yellowstone."
