Last year, Monika, who shared the news of her pregnancy, confessed that it has already been 50 days since she gave birth. She effectively gave birth last month.
On the 27th, at the Mnet ‘World of Street Woman Fighter’ (directed by Kwon Young-chan and Choi Jeong-nam, hereafter ‘WSWF’) press conference held at SJ Kunsthalle in Gangnam, Seoul, MC Sung Hanbin, fight judges Park Jin-Young, Mike Song, and the nine members of Team Korea ‘BUMSUP’ attended the event alongside PD Choi Jeong-nam.
On that day, Monika, who made an official appearance after a long time, said, “I gave birth 50 days ago. So, what can I say? After giving birth, you worry about postnatal care, but I think I will become a dancer who does postnatal care through dance, so I am looking forward to it.”
Earlier, on December 20 last year, Monika announced her marriage and pregnancy through her social media, saying, “A truly happy and precious miracle has come to me,” and “I promised to spend my life with a beloved person. That person is ordinary but special to me, living quietly in their own place without standing in front of the public. And another miracle that will deepen our love, a precious life, has come to us.”
She added, “I will not stop. My passion and love for dance will continue unchanged, and I will grow and move forward together with all of you. I would appreciate your unwavering support for my journey and your interest.”
Afterward, speculation arose on Monika’s social media that she had already given birth, and during the WSWF press conference, she announced news of giving birth in April. However, due to her pregnancy and childbirth, she was unable to participate in some of WSWF’s missions, and LIP J joined as a replacement member of BUMSUP.
When asked if she felt any regret about not being able to dance, Monika revealed, “At first, I felt very disappointed about not being able to battle. I wanted to go out and do something, but as the competition progressed, I thought it was good that I was absent. I don’t think I would have survived in ‘this chaos.’ It was such a tough experience that my regret turned into relief.”
She added, “Nevertheless, as I have to come together again to dance, I started exercising yesterday and called LIP J to start jogging together.” She revealed that Monika will also make an appearance as a dancer in the upcoming missions.
Meanwhile, Mnet ‘WSWF’ airs every Tuesday at 10 p.m.
