Shinji expressed discomfort over the campaign using a past photo and mentioned legal action.
On the 27th, a man posted a photo of Shinji making a V sign on his social media, along with the text, “Shinji~~ Number 2, solely for the motherland and nation~ Daedong unite! Victory is certain! President Kim Moon-soo, fighting!”
Due to Shinji's hand gesture and the post, it might appear that Shinji supports Kim Moon-soo of the People Power Party as a presidential candidate.
In response, Shinji stated, “What year is this photo from... I believe I just took a picture after the event, completely unrelated to politics, but if you use it like this, I will report it to the company and proceed with legal action! Please take down the photo!” expressing her displeasure.
Additionally, after sharing the post, Shinji said, “You all are really going too far!! It seems that these incidents continue to happen because the law isn’t strong enough, and it’s so unfair to just be targeted every time because I’m a celebrity! This time, I plan not to let it slide!!!!!”
This is not the first time Shinji has suffered damages to her portrait rights. Previously, Shinji publicly revealed a nightclub promotional flyer that used her face without permission, stating, “Even if you search for Shinji at the entrance, I won’t be there. A man is coming out, too. I really appreciate you writing my name, but since there are portrait rights, it would be better to take down the photo for various reasons.”
After the nightclub removed Shinji's photo from the flyer, she expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you very much for taking down the photo.”
However, as her past photo was used to support a candidate ahead of the presidential election, she expressed discomfort and ultimately warned of legal action.
