Actress Go Min-si transforms into a chef in her new work 'Tastefully Yours,' while continuing her calm demeanor amidst allegations of school violence. Despite rebutting the claims as "groundless," attention is focused on whether her activities will face a red light. In response, the agency has conveyed a strong stance.
The Genie TV original drama 'Tastefully Yours,' featuring Go Min-si, portrays the cook and love growth romance between the wealthy heir Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul), who seeks to inherit a food corporation by acquiring a small restaurant, and chef Mo Yeon-joo (played by Go Min-si), who operates a non-branded one-table restaurant. During the production announcement, Go Min-si revealed, "Cooking itself was not a familiar field, so I practiced a lot in advance for this project," adding, "For the chef role, I learned everything from knife work to cooking processes from actual chefs," showing her affection for the drama. She continued, "The dishwashing and chopping experiences I had while working at 'Seo-jin's' were very helpful this time," smiling.
In this work, Go Min-si's dialect acting was also a key element. Go Min-si stated, "The most I focused on was the Jeolla dialect. I constantly checked and practiced it on set," and she mentioned that any shortcomings in cooking or speech were greatly supported by the director and other actors. However, amid these active pursuits, the allegations of school violence surrounding Go Min-si are causing external noise.
On the 26th, a post titled "I am a victim of school violence by Go OO" was posted on an online community. The author claimed that actress A committed verbal abuse, extortion, and mockery of disabled students against several classmates during school years, alleging the perpetrator mobilized surrounding bullies and external forces to carry out school violence and habitually stole belongings and money from classmates, showing a serious ethical deficiency.
The victims claimed that Go OO exhibited a lack of moral consciousness by casually taking others' belongings since childhood, asserting that such behaviors are not simply childhood mistakes but illegal acts that disregard others' property. The victims criticized Go OO for continuing entertainment activities without any remorse, romanticizing her past as a "simple mistake," and strongly demanded that she permanently cease her activities to prevent further harm.
Speculations among netizens quickly spread that the person in question is Go Min-si. In response, her agency Mystic Story stated, "These claims are groundless," asserting that the matter has already been clearly verified through the actor's confirmation and that they plan to take a strong stance against the dissemination of false information. While they expressed their intention to protect the actor's honor, the victim's side maintains their position that "additional revelations are in preparation," indicating that the truth battle may not easily settle.
In a further twist, Go Min-si is currently set to appear on ENA's airing 'Tastefully Yours,' as well as the Netflix variety shows 'Honey Job' and 'Grand Galaxy,' and the film 'The World's Owner.' The emerging controversy, arising at a peak in her career, raises questions about its impact on Go Min-si's future steps, with public interest focused on whether her side will provide additional statements.
Meanwhile, her agency stated, "We have appointed legal representation as of today and have begun reviewing and proceeding with legal action for both civil and criminal matters. We also request that indiscriminate dissemination and spread be avoided," conveying an additional strong stance.
