Actor Park Jung-min confessed that he started smoking for the first time in middle school.

On 25th, a video titled 'About quitting smoking (with Noksal, Park Jung-min, Woo Chang-yoon)' was posted on the YouTube channel 'Chim Tak Man.' The four discussed smoking and quitting smoking, sharing their thoughts.

That day, Park Jung-min opened up, saying, 'I succeeded in quitting smoking halfway. I mean, I use e-cigarettes. I do not smoke cigarettes at all.'

Park Jung-min shared, regarding how he started smoking for the first time, 'I was in the 3rd grade of middle school.' He continued, 'I learned on my own. Why? Because there was a girl I had a crush on since 6th grade. But she did not return my feelings. For over three years, I kept liking her.'

'I went to the same middle school, and one day a friend of that girl called me over in the hallway. That friend had a very pretty face and became part of a popular crowd. So, she wouldn't even look at someone like me. One day in 3rd grade, that friend's friend called me over and said, 'That girl said she doesn't like you because you are too much of a goody two-shoes.'

Park Jung-min said, 'Someone told me, 'If you act like a delinquent, she might think about you.' So, when I heard that, I thought, 'Oh, if I act like a delinquent, she might consider me.' My father was smoking at that time, so I stole one or two cigarettes and smoked them alone.'

'But I couldn't smoke properly. Still, I tried to smell like smoke and went to school,' he continued. 'So, I even tried to pass by that girl while blowing smoke. But in the end, I just smoked, and it didn't work out.'

Meanwhile, Park Jung-min recently finished filming director Ryu Seung-wan's movie 'Humint.' He published the novel 'First Summer, Wanju' (by Kim Geum-hee) through his own independent publishing house, 'Muje.'
