Singer G-DRAGON filled the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan with daisies and had a passionate encounter with over 80,000 audience members.
G-DRAGON held the world tour 'G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch]' at Kyocera Dome Osaka on the 25th and 26th. Despite having a weekday performance, he once again showcased the dignity of a representative K-pop solo artist by selling out all seats, including restricted view seats, at Kyocera Dome Osaka following the Tokyo Dome.
The world tour held in Osaka, following performances in South Korea, Tokyo, and Bulacan, artistically expressed the philosophical concept of Übermensch by philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, captivating attention with a storytelling approach that presents three stages of becoming a superhuman. The grand and elaborate stage, filled with various tech elements including artificial intelligence (AI) and butterfly-shaped lasers, along with a performance based on real band sound, enchanted the audience's eyes and ears.
In particular, during the Osaka performance, G-DRAGON showed the prowess of a definitive K-pop king by leading a solo show lasting over two hours without any guests. He appeared riding a dragon-shaped bike, which elicited enthusiastic responses during the Tokyo Dome concert, singing 'Today (Feat. Kim Jong-wan of Nell)' while connecting closely with the audience, instantly turning the venue into a frenzy. Furthermore, during the stage for 'TOO BAD (feat. Anderson .Paak)', a dance break showcased performances highlighting groove and charm, from gestures of playing guitar to dance reminiscent of mime, generating explosive applause.
Alongside this, the outfits of G-DRAGON, a representative fashionista, also drew attention. A special leather jacket, made by world-renowned fashion designer Yoshiyuki Yamamoto using G-DRAGON's portrait and daisies, reminded everyone of his global status. Each performance showcased new outfits, and the variation of adding white rose details to the sleeves of a striking red rose jacket added visual interest. Additionally, contemporary artist and pop artist Takashi Murakami celebrated the concert with a garland shaped like daisies.
In response to G-DRAGON's passionate stage, fans also echoed back with one voice, adding to the excitement. Fans waiting for the encore performance sang 'Heaven,' released in 2008 by BIGBANG, chanting G-DRAGON's name, while the entire dome filled with a beautiful display of daisies. Moreover, despite the light rain, fans formed long lines to purchase merchandise, showcasing their deep affection for G-DRAGON.
Following the concerts in Tokyo, Bulacan, and Osaka, G-DRAGON will continue his performances in Macau from June 7 for three days and then proceed through nine Asian cities including Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and two Australian cities, Sydney and Melbourne, as part of his third world tour 'G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch].' Additional tour dates and locations will be announced later.
