I hope that Irene and Seulgi are remembered as an irreplaceable unit and a team that creates irreplaceable music.
On the 27th, the fashion and lifestyle magazine Cosmopolitan revealed a photo shoot featuring Red Velvet's Irene for their June issue.
On the 26th, ahead of the comeback of Irene and Seulgi's second mini album 'TILT,' which is presented after about 5 years, a photo shoot with Irene was arranged. This photo shoot, conducted under the concept of 'A summer afternoon with Irene,' showcased Irene's unique fresh and bright charm. It is rumored that she impressively styled various items, from a white knit dress to a lovely denim setup, earning praise from the on-site staff.
After the photo shoot, an interview was conducted. Irene noted, 'These days I've been busy preparing for the Irene and Seulgi album, and I feel the change of seasons more calmly than ever this year. I think to myself, 'So this is how April weather was,' and 'Yes, I preferred the deep green colors during this time of budding seedlings.' I have such thoughts anew.'
The album by Irene and Seulgi will feature a total of 6 tracks, including the title track 'TILT.' Irene said, 'Since it's not an all-member team activity, I was worried. However, there were more people waiting than I expected. Thanks to that, I felt relieved while preparing the album. I drew strength from the support of our fans.'
Irene, who garnered much attention even before her comeback with teaser images featuring a chic and mature concept. Regarding this album, she explained, 'The concept of the first album was too strong, so I pondered how I could show a different side from that. Since it is just the two of us, I think the previously shown twin-like, symmetrical aspects come across regardless of what we do. I think this album can be introduced with the word 'TILT.' It means 'tilted,' but rather than a feeling of falling over, I want to show the way we balance each other out.'
She continued, 'It's been 10 years since we started our activities, and both of us have released solo albums while coexisting time together. For that reason, I thought it would be good to do something more independently and to amplify the energy that can be contained in the album. It will be more meaningful than simply expressing a cool concept.'
