K-POP 5th generation representative female solo artist Gyubin has left a strong impression even before her official debut in Japan.
Affiliated with Liveworks Company, Gyubin took the stage at the large music festival 'Nagaoka Kome Festival 2025' held in Niigata Prefecture, Nagaoka City, Japan, on the 24th, successfully performing in front of numerous audience members.
At this festival, where representative artists from Japan gathered, Gyubin was the only Korean singer invited and performed on stage among many distinguished artists on the 24th.
On the stage of 'Nagaoka Kome Festival 2025', Gyubin showcased a full band live performance with the top session band in Japan, passionately singing a total of six songs. Starting her performance with her debut song 'Really Like You', Gyubin uniquely added an electric guitar solo for this performance and unveiled a newly arranged version of 'LIKE U 100' for the first time.
Next, Gyubin premiered 'Twilight', included in the tribute album '明響(Meiky)' by Akina Nakamori, which was released on May 1. Additionally, she presented a high-quality band sound reinterpretation of 'Evergreen' from her debut mini-album 'Flowering', released in February, along with the final song of a collaboration project trilogy 'Special', written, composed, and featuring NELL's Kim Jong-wan for her, and last year's second single 'Satellite'.
Amid enthusiastic cheers from the audience, Gyubin concluded her performance with a perfect live show, naturally communicating with the audience in Japanese and creating an engaging atmosphere. After the performance, they enjoyed a splendid fireworks display that capped off the festival together.
Gyubin conveyed through her official SNS, "To be honest, I was worried that, since it was going to rain on the day of the performance, 'Would many people come?' But as soon as I took the stage, I was so surprised. I think this might be the most crowded venue I've ever performed in, and it gave me goosebumps."
She continued, "The support from the audience and the help from the staff warmed my heart. The sound and energy from the live performance with the legendary band will likely linger for a long time. I will strive to meet more often on stages like this and communicate more closely!"
Gyubin has been actively participating since the release of her debut mini-album 'Flowering' in February. After performing at university festivals starting with Hansei University on May 23, she is scheduled to perform today (26th) at Yeungnam University and continue at Busan University of Foreign Studies on May 28. Gyubin plans to hold fan concerts in Taipei and Hong Kong and will fully begin the preparation for her next single album, which will be released in Korea starting in June, as well as making her official debut in Japan with the country's top large music label in the second half of the year.
