'Having been born, World Tour 4' Dex completed the Gurkha training after frustration.

On the 25th, MBC's entertainment show 'Having been born, World Tour 4' (hereinafter 'World Tour 4') featured Pani Bottle, Dex, Kian84, and Lee Si-eon experiencing the Gurkha training in Nepal.

Pani Bottle, Kian84, and Lee Si-eon had pride in Dex regarding the Gurkha experience. The Gurkhas, known as the world's strongest mercenary unit, are mercenaries belonging to the British Army and have a much higher average salary than in Nepal, boasting a 100 to 1 application rate. They are a special forces unit that rigorously screens all aspects, including physical fitness and academic studies.

Dex said, “As someone with a military background, I thought about friends wanting to join the special forces and wondered if they shared the same passion as I did, if I had anything to teach them.” Watching the trainees dedicated to training in their gym clothes, Dex murmured, “It feels like I’m back in my hometown after a long time.”

However, the atmosphere somewhat changed as the intense training began. The first real training was a high-weight lift run while carrying a 20 kg bag. The first challenger for this training, which tests both endurance and strength, was Dex. Carrying a 20 kg bag, completing one lap, and then placing the bag down before running another lap constituted one set, with a total of four sets to be completed before the final lap with the weights.

Pani Bottle said, “We all have military experience, but Dex is not even from a special forces background. There is pride in that.” However, Dex stumbled from the second course onward and struggled through the third and fourth. Lee Si-eon noted, “If Dex is like this, then we can’t do it,” and Kian mentioned, “It’ll be disastrous for us,” seemingly taken aback.

Dex admitted, “Actually, from the middle to the end, my body just wouldn’t listen. It was so hard. My legs gave out.” Pani Bottle remarked, “Dex is the best at exercising among the people I've met, yet his legs collapsed.” Kian said, “Dex was working out, really pushing himself. I was shocked at how poorly he was doing, and it made me feel more embarrassed.”

Dex mentioned, “The moment I picked up the weight, I felt overwhelmed. It was so heavy, and the other students were incredibly fast. I ended up overdoing it and hyperventilating.” He added, “What they were doing during training was actually their break time.”

As he went through the second and third trainings, Dex gradually regained his confidence. He showed quick movements during a reflex game conducted in English. Pani Bottle commented, “When I lifted the 20 kg bag the third time, it felt like I was lifting 40 kg. By the fourth set, I can't remember anything,” but Dex did not give up until the end.

Dex stated, “The reason my combat willpower faded is that my muscles would not recover. My legs were trembling, and I kept gasping for breath.” He added, “My physical strength changed drastically. I feel like I have become someone useless, someone who is so far from active duty.” with a sigh.
