(Following Interview①) 'Hot actor' Kang Yoo-seok shared his thoughts on his recognition.

On the 26th, an interview with Kang Yoo-seok, an actor from tvN's 'Resident Playbook,' took place at a café in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

TvN's weekend drama 'Resident Playbook' (Creator Shin Won-ho, Lee Woo-jung / Directed by Lee Min-soo / Written by Kim Song-hee / Planned by CJ ENM Studios / Produced by Egg Is Coming) (hereinafter 'Resident Playbook') ended with high ratings and view counts, gaining immense popularity.

'After 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' he has been noticeably active in popular and anticipated works, and when asked if he felt his recognition, he said, "I don't really feel it. I took the subway yesterday. I don't feel much change. Recently, when I went to a café, a few people recognized me, but it’s not uncomfortable. I still ride the subway comfortably."

He continued, "I haven’t even seen anyone react at all. Yesterday, I had dinner with a friend and wandered around. I took a bus to the Konkuk University area. Even at rush hour in a crowded subway, no one is interested. I wasn’t wearing a mask or a hat. At first, I wore them thinking someone might recognize me, but when I took them off and no one seemed to notice, I just started going around comfortably."

However, he mentioned, "I've received a lot of messages from people around me. It started back during 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' and it seems to continue until now. Various people. From childhood friends to acquaintances of my parents have been reaching out a lot. Recently, when I visited Gangwon-do, I signed about 100 autographs. My parents’ profile picture on KakaoTalk used to be me. Before my niece was born, it was me, but after her birth, it’s been cute. My niece took over, but since 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' I’ve taken that spot back," he said, inducing laughter.

He added, "I feel like my mother would change it right away if I slow down, so I need to work hard. Since it was also Parents' Day recently, I bought her a dress. I still don’t have a car, but once I earn a lot of money, I want to buy my father a car," showing his filial piety.

When asked about his popularity as perceived through social media metrics, he said, "Before 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' it was in the low 300,000s, but now it’s in the mid 700,000s. I used to be someone who didn’t really use social media, but I thought I should start using it often. Fans must be curious about my news or photos. I’m paying attention to that."
