(Following interview①), comedian Lee Su-ji reported that she received contact from luxury brands after the ‘Jamie Mom’ craze.

On the morning of the 26th, a round interview with comedian Lee Su-ji was held at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

Recently, Lee uploaded content parodying the moms of Daechi through her YouTube channel ‘Hot Issue Ji,’ which garnered significant attention. At that time, she appeared wearing luxury items such as Moncler padding, which is a signature of Daechi moms, and riding with a child, which resonated greatly.

As a result, among some Daechi moms who watched ‘Jamie Mom,’ reactions such as “I can’t wear Moncler padding because of Lee Su-ji” poured in as a joke. In this regard, Lee noted, “Some say they can’t wear it anymore, but those who wanna wear it still do. It’s a different visual from me.”

She continued, “Of course, I’ve received DMs too. I got messages from three people saying, ‘I’m a father of a child — thank you. My wife asked me to buy her a Van Cleef necklace, but thanks to you, I don’t have to.’ And I also asked my husband to buy it for me. He said he could get it for me when he retires.”

Especially when asked if luxury companies contacted her after ‘Jamie Mom,’ Lee said, “I met with someone from the Moncler headquarters. As soon as we met, I kneeled. That person also kneeled and said there was a very good reaction from the headquarters. They were supposed to reach out to hold an event but couldn’t due to internal circumstances, and they assured me that ‘there’s no need to worry,’ and we exchanged contact information in a positive atmosphere.”

After ‘Jamie Mom’ became a hot topic, regarding the parody videos uploaded to YouTube as ‘Jamie Dad,’ she explained, “There was no prior agreement. I don’t know that person well.” When asked if she is indeed as enthusiastic about education as Jamie Mom, she clarified, “My daily life isn’t reflected in it. That’s a character I created, so it feels distinct from my daily life. (This continues to interview③.)”
