Hollywood actress Natalie Portman is deeply into "Culinary Class Wars."
Portman recently appeared on the podcast "Dish," where she shared a meal and discussed various topics with the host.
She said, "I really love cooking competition shows. I discovered a fun show on Netflix recently." When the host mentioned, "I will be going to Korea soon," Portman reacted enthusiastically, saying, "I want to go too!"
To another host who was curious about the program name, Portman introduced it as "Culinary Class Wars," and the other host fervently described it, saying, "Michelin stars will appear, and there will be a 70-year-old woman who makes incredible dishes. The underdog's rebellion will also be portrayed." Portman enthusiastically responded, saying, "It’s really interesting."
Then, a host who had not watched "Culinary Class Wars" expressed curiosity, saying, "Oh my, I have to see it."
"Culinary Class Wars" is a survival show depicting the fierce competition of 100 chefs, where the 'black spoon' chefs, renowned for their exceptional taste, challenge the top star chefs of South Korea, known as 'white spoons.' Last September, Season 1 was released as a 12-episode series, gaining a cult-like popularity and favorable reviews. Driven by this success, the first filming of Season 2 began in late March. In "Culinary Class Wars 2," Paik Jong-won and Anh Sung-jae are set to return as judges, continuing from Season 1.
Meanwhile, Portman, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the film "Black Swan," presented the movie "May December" last year.
