Hollywood star Kim Kardashian's trial regarding the robbery incident she experienced in Paris, France, in 2016 has concluded.

According to reports from U.S. media outlets, including Variety, on the 23rd (local time), eight defendants accused of carrying out an armed robbery worth millions of dollars against Kim Kardashian at her rented APT. in Paris in 2016 were found guilty.

At that time, Kim Kardashian was staying with her family at her accommodation while attending Fashion Week in Paris. Although there was a security guard because it was a high-end building, two armed intruders broke in during the early morning, bound Kim Kardashian, and stole cash and jewelry worth $10 million (about 13.6 billion won). Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Most of the defendants were in their 60s to 70s. Twelve individuals were indicted; however, one passed away prior to the trial, and another was deemed unfit to stand trial due to illness.

The court sentenced the main perpetrator to eight years in prison, with five years of that sentence suspended. The other seven defendants were also found guilty of robbery, confinement, possession and acquisition of weapons, supporting an armed organization, aggravated robbery, and conspiracy to commit a crime. Most of the defendants received prison sentences, but they were all released due to the time already served.

Additionally, two individuals were acquitted of conspiracy charges; however, one of them was ordered to pay €5,000 (about 7.77 million won) to Kim Kardashian and the concierge of the APT.

After the trial, Kim Kardashian expressed her gratitude in a statement, saying, "I would like to extend my deep appreciation to the French authorities for continued investigation and prosecution to achieve justice in this case," and "This crime was the most horrific and frightening experience of my life, leaving deep scars for me and my family."

She continued, "I will never forget that day, but I believe in the power of growth and responsibility, and I pray for healing for everyone. I will continue to raise my voice for justice and strive for a fair judicial system."
