Actress Kim Da-mi shared her childhood dream.
On the 25th, a video titled “The number of works is less than expected, but how can the impact be so great?ㅠ And first of all, so cuteㅠ” was released on the YouTube channel “Fairy Jaehyung.”
In the video, Kim Da-mi said, “I was determined to act since kindergarten. I watched a lot of TV and naturally imitated the acting.” Standing at 170 cm, Kim Da-mi noted, “I did something like a fitting model as a part-time job,” adding, “I found it interesting that I wanted to act naturally and never felt the desire to do anything else. I felt that acting was something I wanted to do naturally.”
Kim Da-mi gained recognition after appearing in “The Witch” amid intense competition. Kim Da-mi said, “At that time, I had no agency, so I distributed my profile and learned about the audition through articles and applied. When the director spoke to me, I think he said, ‘I’m going to take a gamble on you.’”
Kim Da-mi continued, “I didn’t know anything at that time, so I didn’t feel any pressure. They said the production cost was 10 billion won, but that number didn’t resonate with me. I didn’t know back then, but I think I understand now.” When asked if there was anything she regretted among the numerous offers she received after “The Witch,” Kim Da-mi stated, “I have no regrets. I only want to do as much as I can.”
Now, Kim Da-mi has returned with “Nine Puzzle.” She said, “I don’t have the desire to do more works. I still want to go at my own rhythm. Because I have a lot of thoughts, when I do one project, I have many concerns. There are moments when I start making stable choices. I used to think it was a good choice, but I wonder if just making stable choices is truly good for me. These days, I envy those who make bold choices.”
Regarding “Nine Puzzle,” Kim Da-mi explained, “Son Suk-ku is really comfortable to be around, so from the first meeting, he felt like a friendly older brother from the neighborhood,” and about the drama “A Hundred Memories,” she noted, “We are filming a story about a bus guide. I make sure to do at least one project a year.”
