tvN officially apologized for the broadcast accident of 'Resident Playbook Special.'
On the broadcast of tvN's 'Resident Playbook Special - Let's Go Home' on the afternoon of the 24th, 'Pungnyeon-zz' members Go Youn-jung (playing Oi-young), Shin Si A (playing Pyo Nam-gyeong), Kang Yu-seok (playing Eom Jae-il), Han Ye-ji (playing Kim Sa-bi), and Jung Jun-won (playing Gu Do-won) shared behind-the-scenes stories.
Jung Jun-won welcomed the other members with a cafe owner concept, and Kang Yu-seok was intrigued, asking, "Is this the famous Gu Do-won’s Gulungdawon?"
Jung Jun-won suggested, "Let’s introduce ourselves," and Kang Yu-seok asked, "What does it feel like to be a superstar?" Jung Jun-won replied, "No, I’m not busy at all, and I’m not a superstar," but the other actors continued to bombard him with questions like, "What does it feel like to be the nation's boyfriend?" and "What does it feel like to be the nation's otter?" To this, Jung Jun-won responded, "I'm not the nation's boyfriend either," but smiled while saying, "I appreciate the popularity."
When asked, "How do you feel after 'Resident Playbook' has ended?" Jung Jun-won said, "It feels like a breakup. It's a bit hard," adding, "It was tough for about a month after filming ended, and the end of the air also brings that much damage," revealing the aftereffects of the series ending.
The discussion then turned to tearful scenes in the drama, and Go Youn-jung said, "The scene where tears well up involves Nam-gyeong and her mother." The stormy tear scene of Nam-gyeong in episode 8 gained attention after the broadcast, and Jung Jun-won did not hesitate to praise, saying, "Nam-gyeong acted incredibly well."
At that moment, a scene from the drama to aid understanding appeared, but the sound did not come out, causing confusion. A mute broadcast accident occurred on the tvN channel at that moment.
In relation to this, tvN released an official apology via subtitle, stating, "The audio state was uneven. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to viewers."
Meanwhile, 'Resident Playbook' depicts the growth process of residents dreaming of a clever doctor's life as they go through an initiation period. It is a spin-off drama of 'Hospital Playlist,' which concluded on the 18th with a peak rating of 8.1% (Nielsen Korea nationwide). Oi-young, who began a romantic relationship, received a ring from Gu Do-won and entered her second year as a resident. It hinted at the pink romance of all the characters, culminating in a tightly closed happy ending.
