'Bird Doctor' Yoon Moo-bu has drawn sympathy due to his current condition of hemiplegia caused by a cerebral infarction.
In the KBS 2TV entertainment program 'Live Information' that aired on the 23rd, Dr. Yoon Moo-bu appeared as a guest in the segment 'Events and True Stories.'
Dr. Yoon Moo-bu, an ornithologist, gained significant attention as 'Bird Doctor' in various broadcasts during the 1990s. However, in 2006, he collapsed from a cerebral infarction while watching cranes.
At that time, he had not only total paralysis but also lost his language abilities. Yoon revealed, "I was nauseous and felt dizzy, but I didn't go to the hospital right away and waited. I overworked, and that's what happened. Cerebral infarction requires you to go to the hospital early, but I went after three days, and it was already too late. Hemiplegia occurred on the right side."
Despite being told by doctors that he wouldn't live long, Yoon thought of 'birds.' He stated, "When they said I was going to die, the first thought that came to mind was about birds. I thought that I wouldn't be able to see birds anymore, that I wouldn't be able to go to the mountains anymore."
After that, he dedicated himself to rehabilitation therapy to see birds again and was now observing birds outdoors with the help of an electric wheelchair. However, what troubled Yoon was the fake news about his 'death.'
Yoon confessed, "People contacted me saying that I had died. The internet is so scary; I got angry while trying to comfort my daughter." Thanks to his wife and family, who have been by his side for 53 years, he was able to keep his passion for birds alive.
Yoon wanted to share the bird-related videos he had treasured like a treasure through social media. Yoon expressed, "I want to share with everyone, with the people of the country," dreaming of spending his last moments with birds, which he considers family.
