Influencer Choi Jun-hee, the daughter of actress Choi Jin-sil, revealed the side effects she experienced while battling lupus autoimmune disease.
On the 22nd, Choi Jun-hee posted several photos and a lengthy message on her social media, expressing the difficulties she faced while battling lupus.
First, Choi Jun-hee opened up, saying, "While taking high doses of steroids for lupus autoimmune disease, it was a given to eat five meals a day. When the lights went out at the hospital at night, I would secretly go down to the convenience store and crazy grab six cup noodles, triangular kimbap, snacks, jelly, chocolate, and ice cream as if I was filming a mukbang alone."
She added, "The nurse said, 'Please don’t go to the convenience store,' but I didn’t have the mental or physical strength to hear that. My body was getting bigger, my face was collapsing, I was really going down to the bottom."
Choi Jun-hee said, "But I managed to lose 50 kg and went down to 41 kg from that bottom. During that process, my skin also got clearer, and I found myself saying while looking in the mirror, 'Oh? I look somewhat okay?' It was a change that made me start to love myself again. These days, I'm satisfied even when I look in the mirror rather than just being told I lost weight beautifully." This reflected Choi Jun-hee's pride in having overcome the side effects and successfully achieving her desired body shape.
Previously, during her battle with lupus, Choi Jun-hee's weight had increased to 96 kg, and she garnered attention for successfully losing weight to 44 kg. She is currently reported to weigh 41 kg, having lost a total of approximately 55 kg. Choi Jun-hee, who is now active as an influencer, maintains her slim figure and has drawn significant attention with her changed appearance.
