Actress Lee Young-ae has transformed into a theater actress after debuting 32 years ago as a mother of twins.

On the 22nd, a video titled "Actress Lee Young-ae, these days instead of acting, I'm doing direct sales~ | On the way home by PDC" was released on the YouTube channel "PDC by PDC." The video features Lee Young-ae preparing for her appearance in the play "Hedda Gabler."

"Hedda Gabler" is a representative work of realism playwright Henrik Ibsen, depicting a woman's inner longing for freedom amid social oppression and conflict. Lee Young-ae will stand on stage after a long time through this work.

In the video, Lee Young-ae said, "You can't see the play just once. I recommend watching it multiple times because each performance is different," adding, "It still makes me nervous to stand on stage, and I'm also paying attention to my health." She also shared how she manages her condition by taking honey water, nutrients, and throat lozenges.

Lee Young-ae noted, "In my 20s and 30s, I was active in my work, but I reduced my activities due to marriage and parenting," and added, "Recently, I was glad to return with meaningful works like 'Find Me' and 'Gugyeongi.'" She specifically recalled about 'Gugyeongi,' saying, "It was fun, and the character was fresh, so I wanted to try it."

She also revealed her family's reactions. "My daughter, after hearing the tragic ending, said, 'That makes it interesting.' My son asked, 'Do we have to?' and my husband said, 'I can't watch because I'm afraid I'll miss my lines,'" she laughed.

Regarding parenting, Lee Young-ae expressed, "If mom is happy, the child will be happy too. If we're too close, it becomes difficult for both of us," adding, "I believe it's important to live well with a proper distance so that each can lead their own lives."

Lee Young-ae said, "I debuted at the relatively late age of 23, but once I started, I ran forward without looking back," explaining, "I have continued my studies in acting at Chung-Ang University and Hanyang University Graduate School." She revealed that when she received the offer to perform in the play, "I thought about it for over a month. Even my husband tried to stop me," but she stated her emotions after finishing her first performance were "calm."

Finally, Lee Young-ae said, "I am grateful for the time and opportunities given to me for marriage, parenting, and acting," adding, "I also had the belief that I would have my place when I returned after a break."
