The group RIIZE, belonging to SME, has graced the cover of the June issue of the British music magazine DORK, making them the first K-pop boy group to do so.
The June issue of DORK magazine will be published on June 6 (local time), and prior to this, it was revealed online on May 19 through the official website, showcasing various stories about RIIZE, dubbed the "New Generation," who has become the first K-pop boy group to grace the magazine cover.
In particular, DORK noted that "RIIZE, based on the solid foundation established since their debut, continues to grow and evolve (Bigger and Better) and is opening a new chapter in their career in 2025. With the unique freedom of Generation Z, a nostalgic emotional connection to K-pop, and a team that ideally portrays empathy, RIIZE is stepping confidently toward the position of next-generation K-pop leaders. The odyssey of RIIZE has just begun."
Additionally, about the title track "Fly Up" from their first full album released on May 19, it was introduced as "a song that maintains the musical atmosphere RIIZE has steadily built while also impressive with its retro sound and energetic vibe," and regarding the music video, it was praised as "a large-scale project filmed in one take with over 30 dancers invited from LA, boasting ambitions as grand as the team's aspirations."
In an interview with DORK, RIIZE expressed, "We wanted to show the peak of all the experiences we've had so far and our hopes for the future with our first full album 'ODYSSEY.' Since all the members are confident about this album, we hope to inspire listeners to start their own odyssey with their own goals."
RIIZE will perform the title track "Fly Up" and the album track "Bag Bad Back" on KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank' today (23rd).
