The group aespa (SME) has proven the global popularity of their mega hit song "Supernova."

aespa achieved the great feat of winning the "Best Song Asia" in one of the main institutional sectors at the "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025," held in Kyoto, Japan, on the 21st and 22nd with their mega hit song "Supernova."

"MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN" is an awards ceremony established in collaboration with five major local organizations, including the Recording Industry Association of Japan and the Japan Association of Music Enterprises, alongside government institutions. Winners are selected through voting by music industry experts based on various music indicators from Oricon, Billboard Japan, GfK Japan, Luminate, Yusen, Daiichi Kosho Company, and JASRAC.

Following their dual victory at the "39th Japan Gold Disc Awards" and being the first female artist to win four awards at the MTV "Video Music Awards Japan" (VMAJ), aespa once again raised a trophy at the "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN," confirming their high local popularity.

Last July 2024, aespa successfully debuted in Japan with "Hot Mess" and held their second Tokyo Dome performance, "SYNK: PARALLEL LINE – in TOKYO DOME -SPECIAL EDITION-" in August, drawing approximately 94,000 attendees.
