The 'Brain Academy' team of Jun Hyun-moo, Ha Seok-jin, Lee Sang-yeob, Yoon So-hee, Hwang Je-sung, and Gweido revealed an interview with "we will showcase the power of collective intelligence" as they experience a "chemistry explosion."
The six "representative brains of the entertainment industry" have come together for Channel A's 'Brain Academy,' a knowledge-boosting quiz show where they answer high-class quizzes created by South Korea's top scholars. The show will premiere at 10 p.m. on the 29th, where they have elevated expectations for the main broadcast by showcasing their determination and their already extraordinary chemistry.
First, the "leader" of the 'Brain 6,' Jun Hyun-moo, revealed his unique love for quizzes, saying, "I really liked 'Quiz is Good' in the past," and reminisced about a time when "we could only get hints through ARS phone assistance." He continued, "In college, I participated in a 'Global Challenger' hosted by a major corporation and ended up third with a report on 'Post-utilization plans for World Cup stadiums,' showcasing my impressive planning skills and career."
Ha Seok-jin, the winner of 'Devil's Plan' Season 1, said about his "love for quizzes," "if I have done 'Brain Age - Problematic Man' for five years, isn't that enough?" Yoon So-hee mentioned, "I tend to solve quizzes when I see them," demonstrating her unique perspective. Gweido expressed his ambition, stating, "I have participated in the science Olympiad representing my school and have won, and I want to challenge problems that involve analyzing the situation, reasoning, and deriving the most optimized conclusions."
While everyone possesses impressive credentials, they expressed respect and envy for each other's abilities. Jun Hyun-moo noted, "I envy Yoon So-hee" and added, "I have a liberal arts brain, but So-hee has a science brain. She seems exceptional as a friend with a talent I've never had." Yoon So-hee replied, "I envy Jun Hyun-moo's entertaining speaking ability." Lee Sang-yeob remarked, "I expect a lot from his knowledge and experience that brings insights," giving ‘respect’ to Jun Hyun-moo. Gweido also expressed his respect, stating, "He is the person who teaches me the most," while Ha Seok-jin specifically mentioned, "I envy Jun Hyun-moo's experience, Gweido's speaking ability, and Hwang Je-sung's sense of humor." In response, Hwang Je-sung joked, "I envy Ha Seok-jin's face," causing laughter.
With warm teamwork anticipated, they will collectively tackle knowledge quizzes posed by scholars in various fields to challenge for the "knowledge medal." Winning this medal comes with a cash prize, and in regard to this, Jun Hyun-moo stated, "If I win the prize, I want to have a team dinner first. As I am planning a 'Jun Hyun-moo plan,' I know many good restaurants, including some expensive places." Ha Seok-jin and Yoon So-hee also expressed their desire to have a dinner with the cast and crew, showcasing their teamwork, while Lee Sang-yeob and Hwang Je-sung expressed their wish to "donate," which brought warmth to the atmosphere. Gweido mentioned, "As a science communicator, I want to explore scientific international conferences, historical science sites, museums, and science centers to create much good content."
Each of them also provided serious answers regarding the highlights and aspirations of 'Brain Academy.' First, Jun Hyun-moo said, "I want it to become the representative program of Channel A," adding, "I hope viewers do not stress over it being a knowledge entertainment show. It is a very comfortable entertainment program that viewers can enjoy without strain. I hope that viewers do not set up psychological barriers and enjoy it together." Ha Seok-jin stated, "I want to make the stiff brains more academic," suggesting, "It would be great if we can enjoy knowledge entertainment, which has largely disappeared from TV, together and become smarter together."
